Appearance: Varaya is a 19 years old elven girl. Quite small for an elf, with only 5'6", her petite, slender body is shaped perfectly and combined with her pretty face with the mysterious green eyes is a beauty to behold. She often wears her raven-black hair in a pony-tail at shoulder-length. Siren, as she is called, is easy to pick out in a crowd. Her distinctive style with black and red leather or cloth and her fondness for form-flattering and sexy outfits, tight pants and shirts, sometimes with bare midriff or a plunging neckline, whatever makes men look at her, effectively underlines her gorgeous appearance. On top she usually wears a black leather jacket with red decorations and the colors of her gang, a big red "anarchy A" in a circle. Being vain and obsessed with her own appearance, while sometimes necessary, it costs her some effort to hide herself behind less eye-catching garments.

Background: Varaya Vandenberg didn't come expected. Her mother was very young still, she didn't want a child and she was simply not ready for one either. Rejected by her mother and unknown to her father, who had long left by the time of her birth, the little girl ended up in an orphanage in the poor area of Columbia, near the old chapterhouse of the Universal Brotherhood. She was lucky, it could have been worse. Varaya never really liked that place, and she took the first opportunity to break out. That was when she was twelve. Her magic had already manifested and her ability to call small spirits for her protection enabled her to live on the streets unmolested. Having nothing, she had to steal for a living. Varaya always loved the sight of the water, and she spent hours upon hours in the Columbia River Park watching the waters from there. It was there also, where she met a bunch of awakened boys, who were members of a wiz-kids gang called the Myth, whom she often hung out with back then. After a while, Varaya was invited and joined up with them, calling herself Siren, after the mythological creature, who lured men into their doom at sea with her enchanting voice. While she was never as nasty as the siren from mythology, she did possess striking good looks and a seductive voice, with which she could talk men into doing almost anything for her. And she liked it that way. Years passed and honing her magical skills she became a force to be reckoned with. Through one of her fellow gang members, she was introduced to an elven talismonger named Kiros, who operates a small talismongering shop in the city and where she learned a bit more about the theory behind her magical powers. Over time internal struggles weakened the structures of the Myth and after a while they disbanded. The Siren was back on the streets again, but with her skills and good looks it wasn't hard to get some small jobs and earn enough money to afford a small flat near the Riverfront at least. However, this wasn't what Varaya had dreamed of, she was destined for greater things for sure. She often dreamed of a wealthy condomonium in the better parts of the city, getting out of the dirty streets, which were so unlike herself, pure and beautiful. Another year went by, she was barely eighteen when another gang entered the scene of her life. This time, it was not a bunch of kids, rather something serious. She had befriended a member of the Ancients, the biggest and most powerful elven go-gang in the area, and the whole UCAS. Her friend, a fellow called Wight, became her lover and as things fell into place she ended up being a member of this fierce elven group. With the money she had earned so far, she was able to afford her own bike, a Yamaha Rapier, and her friend showed her how to ride it. At first Siren was doing smuggling runs for the Ancients, her innocent looks making her an ideal courier, and later her persuasive tongue was employed in various negotiations, often with underworld organizations, such as the Yakuza. Most of her associates were impressed with the personality of the elven girl and soon she enjoyed a good reputation as a negotiator in the scene. Varaya enjoyed being the center of attention and getting more and more involved, she had fewer and fewer time for her boyfriend. It didn't help their relationship either, that she cheated on him on a few occasions with "business associates" or even random guys she met in a club during a lone night, and when he found out and questioned her about it, the two broke up almost immediately. It's a miracle, that she was able to keep his anger in check, given what she had done to him, and they could remain friends, even though somewhat distant, afterwards. She now tries to keep a strict policy of not getting involved with any of her fellow gang members to avoid such a situation in future. Through her assignments, Siren also was introduced to the fixer Hawkins. A sleek professional, who had shown some interest into the girl's skills and who had promised to call her up, if there was an opportunity to make some real money...

Jake hunched closer to the bleeding man on the ground, tugging with frustration at the skin-tight armor that sealed the ork from the rest of the world. Well, at least that's what it did in theory. Gauging from the blood pumping from those three bullet holes in the orks chest, somebody had figured out a way to get around it.

Finally, frustration getting the better of him, Jake wipped out his knife and began cutting at the material with smooth precision. He'd probably get yelled at this later; the company tended to recieve heat from their customers if you left any of their gear behind. He sort of imagined leaving behind large patches of the customer's armor applied.

Not that their was a damn thing Jake could do about it if he wanted to save the ork's life. Those damn security guards had the DocWagon pinned but good. The way he saw it, he could either run for the car alone and make it, try to drag the body and get torn to shreds along the way, or just stay here, patch the guy up and hope the rest of the guys figured out a way to get to him.

A burst of fire clipped the crumbling wall nearby, serving as a rather direct message that he needed to hurry up. Thankfully, it was a pretty simple job now that he had clear access to the wound. Slap a patch here, seal a wound there, press on this with both fingers and pray...and bam! All don-

A roar of thunder. A moment of darkness. When Jake blinked his eyes about groggily a few seconds later, he found the wall gone, victim to some sort of explosion. Well, whatever. Looked like the DocWagon was finally swinging around to grab him anyway.

Turning about, Jake bent to grab his patient. Only, instead of a patient, he found himself looking at a large red splat on the ground, along with what appeared to be the smoking remains of an arm. Certainly not a living, breathing, paying customer.

Cursing the world in general and his job specifically, Jake scooped up his medical equipment and made for the DocWagon. He was so fired.

Appearance
Kayla Brightleaf is a Sorceress female elf who, through lack of an Irish accent is most likely from Tir Tairgire, though there are other subtle hints about her that definitely point to the elven nation for her origin. She tends to wear the most exquisite clothing, and even when she is dressing down, she is still head and shoulders above the norm for the sprawl. Some of her nicest clothes, for those who have the knowledge to recognize such fashions, belong to the ultra exclusive Tir Noble Heritage line by Zoe. She tends to wear a black cloak with mystic symbols embrodiered in gold thread, the "in" clothes for a mage thanks to Mortimer of London's advertising. She also wears a number of Foci and Fetishes about her person to aid her in her craft, were a person to look at her in the Astral, they could see a silver spiral armband on her upper arm, a ruby pendant, a silver ring, and a host of other minor fetishes.

Kayla is strongly opinionated and doesn't hesitate to speak her mind or take charge of a situation, she is fluent in Sperithel and English, and her voice has an almost purring quality to it. She holds deeply to her ideal that all life is sacred and refuses to even consider a job where a life must be taken, and she will do her best to convince those around her not to kill except in self-defense. Kayla can be found working a few hours a week in a Talismonger shop owned by Kiros Ward whom she happens to be living with, and it provides a safe and legit way to launder money for her. She and Kiros have both been known to do no questions asked healing, as well as healing for those without SINs or money to pay hospital bills.

Background
Will's family is Kurdish, having fled Iraq in the latter half of the 20th Century.
However, his parents were irreligious, meeting in college before both went to work for Aztechnology.

Will, however proved more religious, becoming a firm believer in "The Path of the Sun", the revived Aztlan faith.

Will was the oldest, with 2 sisters later born to his parents, before his father was killed while being extradited. Having goblinized at adolescence into a rare hobgoblin, Will decided to go into corp security work as a result, much to his mother's consternation, as she viewed it as a waste of potential.

His natural wit identified by Aztechnology early on, he was given advanced training in rapid response and covert ops before becoming one of the feared Leapord Guard. He served in various locations before witnessing a blood mage temporarily assigned to his team in action. He went to his superiors with this perversion, only to be sidelined. Sometime later the mage went insane in the Yucatan and geeked everyone he was working with. Now feeling vindicated, he became more vocal. When noone else saw it his way, he became somewhat disillusioned. His mother managed to shield him before packing him off with a fixer she'd worked with as a stint as an Aztechnology Johnson.

It should be noted that his disillusionment is with "certain elements twisting Aztechnology to their own ends" rather than the corp and Aztlan as a whole.

Appearance
Featuring the sharp features, beady eyes, sharp teeth, and greenish skin of his metatype, Will tends to stand out. Powerfully built, he tends to shave his head. On his right bicep is a tatoo depicting a stylized stone leopard with a knife clenched in its teeth, firing an assault rifle.

His dress off cuty tends towards the casual, with form fitting body armor beneath, and a lined coat thrown over. If the situation requires, he can change into better clothing, with a secure ultravest replacing the coat. On duty, he usually loses the coat in favor of an armored vest over camoflaged kevlar fatigues, festooned with pockets, pouches, and gear.

Personality
Generally softspoken and introverted, he ocasionally displays a sense of humor. However, he's tainted by his upbringing in the Aztechnology environment and later by the culture of the Leapord Guards. He possesses few scruples, though those that do exist are utterly inviolate.

A firm believer in the Aztlan religion, he often gets hot headed about those who go on about nonsense like human sacrifice and the like. Though he's read on much other theology and occasionally will get into philosophical debates.

He's quite afraid of dogs. He earned his nickname, "Cat", which he largely destests, from his peers when they noticed how nervous he became around them.

His hobbies generally consist of watching courtball, or going out to bars to play darts.

He possesses a wealth of knowledge about the ins of outs of corporate operation, particularly when it comes to security.

It should be noted that he's not particularly well-liked in the shadows, as a result of his former job. Aztlaners, and the Leopard Guard in particular, are largely hated in the shadows. It might have been mitigated by keeping quiet, but Will makes no bones about his history, and is in fact, proud of his service.
