So whom of you out there is truely been a fan of this for a while? Me personally, I've been on the bandwagon since 1E. What was your favorite adventure? What character archetype did you enjoy playing? Come on now, spill and tell all on the who, what, where, and why's chummers.

Been with it since 1E (in fact, I still play 1E, even if houseruled ;) ), and mostly we played our home-made runs. at least I couldn't afford to buy the published runs, simply because I spent too much money on all them sourcebooks back then. But boy, am I glad I did so by now.
My longest-played runner was a hermetic mage.

Jumped on with 2e here. Didn't play any published adventures, and most of my runners were pretty tragic. Of all the possibilities though, its Street Mage for teh win.

Published Adventure: Harlequin's series. Loved that campaign

Favorite Archtype: Physical Adept

Nastiest Character: 2E Mage, focused on Transformation magic

But.. then I started playing CP2020

Shadowrun is a cool setting, with some very neat rule systems. The problem was that the 3 rules systems {Street, Mythic, and Net} did not mesh at all.

Still, I had some very memorable games and truely memorable characters.. one of which has since crossed boundries into CP2020, Twilight 2000, Aliens, WEG Star Wars, and most recently into a Champions game.

On the flip side, I will never forget the game at GenCon, LA back in 1995ish. Soured me on Con's in general.. I would have to say it was the worst possible game to walk into.
{Short story is: the only players at the table who were not regulars at the GM's game were myself and my buddy. GM's significant other was playing...and ended up receiving bonus character points at the end due to, and I quote "Morale and Ethical play". I guess I missed the Ethics lesson where a hired contractor lies to thier employer and skips town to avoid the repercussions..with the cash. Not to mention the part in the SR rules where it talks about a SANless edgerunner who works outside of the law is supposed to maintains a palidonish moral high ground... Anyway, I digress}

Been playing since the day 1e hit the shelves.
I was actually interested before that though since I picked up their original promotional braided anthology "Into the Shadows" before the game was released.
I have every product ever published for the game (literally). And I have used them all.

I've run every published module multiple times, and the ones that always had the best response from players without exception are Mercurial, and Universal Brotherhood/Missing Blood.

Bug City is hands down the best supplement ever made for the game.

On the rare occaisons I get to play rather than GM, I always play a shaman of some type. Usually a street shaman of coyote, or some other trickster with few strictures.

I'm not completely sold on 4e yet, but I am considering it.

I have been playing off and on since the first edition. Too many favorite adventurs to recount, though Universal Brotherhood will always recall fond memories. Still though, Silver Angel was a good one too, though that may just be that I've played it with several different groups, and each had their own amusing way of taking it on.

Favorite archtype is the street mage, hands down.

I love the background and history of the various worlds, and how it ties to Earthdawn.

I've been playing shadowrun since 1999. So I started playing in SR3. As far as archtypes go I like playing alot of different ones but I probably like shamans the best, though it is fun to make a really heavily cybered merc or sammy. Currently I'm playing an ork merc from Saudi Arabia.

Been playing off and on since I got my first copy of the 1e rules. I don't have 4e yet, but I will at some point. I loved the Harlequin adventures, and I had a lot of fun running some of the alternate ideas out of the Missions book. As far as favorite characters went, I had a decker in 1e (hooray for the program carrier cyberware!) that I liked, a street-sam I liked in 2e, and in 3e, a dog shaman and a rigger. I've played several different characters, and generally like the system. Too many people in combat makes it really drag, though.
