"Archangel, thank you very much. You are an excellent fighter and I think only the luck of my mother, which you gave me in the form of this ivory spider, enabled me to win against you. This token means so much to me, as does conversing with someone who knew my mother and father in life. Somehow, it makes the past not so distant, and the heavens not so unreachable as they seemed before.

With that, Shard turns and begins walking off. Before she has gone a dozen steps though, Archangel sees her pull a small gem out of a hiding place in her blouse and begin talking to it excitedly as she walks away...

"Wow! Really?! I had never known that about my parents. I only met them after Kith and I died and I went to heaven for a short time. And I would enjoy your company as we walk, thank you.
"As for this gem, it actually has nothing to do with my mother. If you look closely at it, you'll see a person inside. That is the good...well, better...half of Mirashi Iso the fighter. His evil side, a demon spirit calling itself Orzul, has taken over his body and kicked him out of it somehow and into this gem.
"You see, Mirashi used to be just about all evil. Until he fought me once when I sought a deathmatch to end my life. He won but found that after our battle and the converasation that accpomponied it, he did not wish for me to die. He argued with me about the joys that life held. He tried very hard to convince me to let him free of the promise to kill me. Somehow in the short time of that fight and the argument afterward, he had come to love me you see. In the end, I forced his hand and he kept his word. His knife tore into me and I bled to death in his arms.
"Little did either of us know all that would happen next. More than I should tell here I suppose. Anyway, the heavens rejected me because I had not earned the right to be there, so I hung in limbo until the love of one on the mortal plain pulled and tugged at the strings of fate and decided my next path. I appeared next to Mirashi and we both rejoiced. I resolved that I wished to actually earn my way back to heaven and to take the man I loved with me. But the hold of Darkness on his soul was strong and even as he told me that he wanted to come with me to heaven, the dark side of him plotted and planned to wipe out an entire village.
"I found him there later, chasing down a little girl. The last survivor of his rampage was she and I put myself in his path to protect her. Somehow I won that fight against him and chose to walk the path of Light. As the battle ended though, Mirashi's mind seemed to split into the side that loved me and the side that wanted nothing but death and hatred. And after the blast and a cloud of smoke passed, I found this gem with my Mirashi entrapped within. Bodyless, I carry him with me now until we can find some solution to his dilema.
"So that is the story of this gem in a not so short fasion. I hope it was not too long for you and I apologize if it was."

"Well....there is one way.... I belive....... the "good" mirashi could be freed from the gem Shard".....and that is to give up my physical form to save his "good" soul... "
