Sharing the DM role with the unconverted

I'm starting a campaign in which I will alternate with another player as the DM. This has its complications of course, most of which are manageable. But the main problem is that this guy does not want to upgrade to 3.5.

He doesn't seem to object to my introducing certain changes. But it burdens me with the responsibility for introducing each thing one by one. Furthermore, I would have to introduce changes when I am not even in the DM seat! Very awkward.

Any help?

If you're working a game with 2 DMs, you really have to work out what teh rules will be beforehand. A single DM can introduce rules changes after the game has started, but this becomes a big hassle if you've got more than one person running the show.

Sit down with the rulebooks and your co-DM, and hash out all the rules changes you wish to adopt before the campaign goes any further.

I think I can persuade him to adopt the changes to the classes.

Other than those, what other rules do you think would be most important?

I'm thinking the changes for Spot (Read Lips), Bluff (Innuendo), Survival (Intuit Direction), and Jump are important, as well as the spells. Am I forgetting anything crucial?
