How to Post an URL in your Signature
First thing, vBulletin uses vB code, not HTML. It's sorta like HTML, but not really.
To post an URL you're going to need a pair of brackets ("[][]"). In the first pair of brackets you put the following magical phrase, "url=http://replacethisbitoftypingwiththeactualURLyouwantpeopletogoto" replacing the bit that starts with "replacethisbitwith" with the actual URL you want people to go to. In the second pair of brackets you put, "/url". This is what makes the spell work, without it you will not have a viable URL. In both cases be sure to leave out the quotation marks. Between the two sets of brackets type something that gives the reader some idea of what he's in for. The title of your story hour, or the name of your web site for example. In the case of my signature the link to
Mythusmage was done thusly. (The quotation marks around the brackets are included to keep vBulletin from reading it as an URL instead of as an example URL. Remember that the real thing has no quotation marks per se.)
Example URL: "["url=http://www.mythusmage.com"]"Mythusmage"["/url"]"
When doing your own URL remember that the brackets should not be inside quotation marks, and that you should use your own URL instead of mine. Not that I wouldn't appreciate the extra traffic, but you really want people to go to your place instead of mine.
