Sharn Tavern: The Tower's Shard II

Valehandra sips her wine quietly.

Links pauses a moment and looks over to Valehandra. "I don't mean to be rude but, is it hard trying to live up to someone's whom you never met?

Wulfcyne snorts in amusement at Links' question, glancing at the elven woman to see her response.

The shifter slipps out the front door for some wandering. You get the feeling she'll be back.

Thral'k Kos

As the shifter slips out the door, an odd wrinkle out of the corner of the eye indicates that something entered as she left. As it enters the warm light of the main bar, the blur resolves into a pygmy lizardfolk, its skin fading in and out into the background like that of a chameleon. Its overly large eyes focus on the gathered, then slinks its way over to an isolated part of the tavern.

As it moves past, Brews clears his throat and taps the sign. The lizard hisses, "Thral'k Kosss" then heads for its lonely perch. In the shadows, it again fades from clear view.

Squinting at the new arrival, attempting to garner what sort of creature it is, Wulfcyne gives a low whistle as Thral'k is revealed.

Sipping from his own tankard as he mulls over some thought, the large warrior finally nods to himself and wraps his broad middle knuckle on the bar again, requesting a mug of Salasta, the seaweed derived clear liquor of the Lhazzarite Coast.

Retrieving it with a nod of thanks a few coins, Wulfcyne makes his way over to where the pygmy lizardman disappeared.

Unable to find the creature at first, the warrior grumbles in frustration, before reaching into his back and pulling out a flaming torch!

Illumination spills over the scene, and the warrior lets out a triumphant, 'Aha!' as he spots the little creature. Offering the overly large mug to him and questioning, 'Ya here seekin a job, jungle hunter? Funny, I was just speakin 'bout Q'barra. Tha's where yer from, neh?'

The door slams open, standing where there was once a door now is an oddly shifter. Legs and arms still bare, she now has a chain shirt in place of her leathers. A small metal cap sits atop her copious amounts of hair and while she still carrys her staff, in her hands is an axe. A very large axe, seemingly too big for her, she gives it a test swing. Showing it off as it were. I have axe! The swing while scary isn't aimed at anyone and while she seems a bit off balance with it's new weight, she handles like someone who knows their way around weapons.

"Let us hope child, you rarely find reason to use it," Koh'Tara says to the shifter.

Eyes snapping to the front of the tavern, Wulfcyne wraps a meaty hand around his own throwing ax's darkly stained handle, pulling the weapon from his belt.

Angling the sharp head, molded to look like a roaring lion's head, large fangs the edge of the blade, and mane, the Warrior pays the shifter the briefest of salutes, grinning widely.

'Welcome back, sir. I be honored ya took me advice ta heart.'

Slipping his own smaller weapon back into his belt, the looming human grunts at the hobgoblin's words, adding in agreement, 'An tha fer e'ry reason steel be drawn, yon blade cuts deep fer tha good o all.'

Links pauses a moment and looks over to Valehandra. "I don't mean to be rude but, is it hard trying to live up to someone's whom you never met?

"I've been tought of her for most of my life, and I've been told I'm a decendant of her. If her portraits are accurate, I even look very much like her," Valahandra says. "But all I can do is strive to be as close as I can."

Her eyes flash for a moment, and she says, her voice filled with much more confidence than before, "I am blessed by the opertunity."

Her eyes flash back, and her demeanor reverts to how she was before. She smiles, but looks a bit disoriented.
