Sharn Tavern: The Tower's Shard

Guardian shifts a bit in his seat and looks around the room for a moment before going still again.

OOC: And btw, Gimble wouldn't mind waiting for his warforged friend to embark on another quest .

OOC: Well, if there is another adventure in the pipeline, I'm in.

Gimble Niffledorn

Into the tavern walks a male shifter. He is ... different from the typical shifter. He walks with a grace that is not usually seen among their kind. His only obvious weapon is a simple sling hanging from his belt. His dark skin is barely visible under the thick patches of hair that cover his arms.

The shifter nods to those in the room, "Good day. I'm Lorth."

"Welcome, friend Lorth," he says with a wink and a smile.

 

[Solange]

A taller woman with a distinctively sharp face and emerald green eyes steps into the Tower's Shard. Her long blonde hair flows down her neck and goes just past her shoulder blades. She has a tall build and is somewhat shapely, but is fit and walks with grace and elegance. She offers a warm smile to any who glance her way.

"Hello, my name is Lily, and I've traveled far to get here," she states, before she grabs a seat by the bar.

"What can I get you Lily?" Brews asks the newcomer.

"Just a glass of milk please," she says with a hopeful smile. Brews looks at her a bit odd, but pours her a glass and hands it to you. "Oh, thank you sir," she says, almost giddy as she takes a sip, and smiles.

 

[Solange]

"Is it usually this quiet in here Mr Brews?" Lily asks the warforged bartender.

"There's usually a bit more life in here, but it varies little lady," Brews replies.

"I wanna be an adventurer," Lily says with pride. "Mommy told me all kinds of fun stories about them. I hope someday, someone's mommy tells a story about me."

"Well, keep that dream there. You never know what might walk though the door," Brews says.

"Oh goody," Lily says and turns around to watch the door intently.

[Mellubb]

A handsome young man enters the bar. He has shiny black hair kept back in a pony tail and deep blue eyes. He has a brightly colored Dragonmark on his right cheek. He is wearing dark grey robes and this specticals. He adjusts his glasses and says "Hello my name is Mathew d'Cannith. I come looking for adventure."
With that he walks toward the bar looks at Brews and says "You must be Brews I have heard of you and of you famous McGruffins. May I have one please?”
While Brews goes to work he looks around the tavern trying to make eye contact with any one who is looking his way. He sees the Lily at the bar, approaches he and says ”Hello fair lady, in case you didn’t hear my name is Mathew, what is your name if you don’t mind me asking?”
Brews brings him his drink as he eyes Lily’s milk.

 

[Solange]

Lily looks a bit disappointed when Mathew announces that he too is looking for adventure after staring at the door for so long. She returns to her mil when he approaches again.

"Oh, hello. My name's Lily. Lily d'Orien," she says proudly and assuredly. "You said d'Cannith? Does that mean you're from one of those Dragonmark houses too? Mommy told me all about them, but I was never allowed to play with kids from the other houses."

OOC: She appears to be maybe 18-20, maybe a bit older, and human.

”Yes, I am of House Cannith” He says with a smile
”I know the feeling. I wasn’t able to play much at all unless it helped me with my studies. Have you always lived in Sharn or are you visiting?”
OOC: Mathew appears to be in his late teens, probably not yet 20 and human as well

 

[Solange]

"I came here all the way from Regalport," Lily says. "The House people weren't as nice to me once mommy died, so I left. They don't think I can make it on my own, but I'll show them I'm a big girl!"

She finishes her milk and slides the glass towards Brews, "Thank you Mr. Brews, That was good."

"Would you like another?" he asks.

She shakes her head, "No thank you."

OOC: The inherent difference is that in your case it's actually true

"Have you made contact with your House here in Sharn? This a dangerous place to be alone. Even for a big girl like yourself." He looks at her and can't help but feel a need to help her.

 

[Solange]

Lily nods, "They gave me a room, but it's not as nice as my old one. They said I should find my own work, since they didn't have any for someone like me. I don't understand, but that's ok. I'll find work here. Mr. Brews says anything can come though that door at any time. Maybe even be a famous adventurer."

"Are you looking to be a famous adventurer too?"
