Sharn Tavern: The Tower's Shard

Noticing someone exiting seemingly in response to his entrance, he responds, "Good riddance, ratface! You're ruttin' kind couldn't keep up with me any gorram way!"

I actually came up with this concept before I watched Firefly, but that inspiration didn't hurt this character either .

A tall figure steps into the Tower's Shard. A warforged, it's adamantine plates are polished to a blue-black sheen, and decorated with intricate shield designs and piping inlaid in silver. The wood portions of it's frame are made from cherrywood. Two glowing, smooth, polished blue sapphires set into it's helm shaped skull serve as eyes. It wears a finely crafted silver amulet in the shape of a shield on a steel chain around his neck. The large steel shield and longsword it carries seem well-serviced.

Nodding to Brews, the warforged looks at the room and patrons and says, "I am Guardian. I am looking for purpose." He stops short and shakes his head, "No, I am looking for employment. I am skilled in the rules of battle, and was created to defend others. I ... I will be over there." He points to the bar. He moves to take a seat at the bar with an expression that seems almost ... lost.

Cassius Underbridge

After having what was to him the worst dinner he's had in a while, he says, "Gorram it! What the frak is this crud? I had better ruttin' food in the ruttin' work gangs. I'm leavin!" He then gets up and leaves the Shard.

Gimble Niffledorn

Right after the rude man leaves, a gnome enters. He's dressed plainly in traveler's clothes, and looks as if he just arrived in town.

"Hello, Brews, my name is Gimble Niffledorn," he says as he examines the warforged bartender closely. "I've heard quite a bit about you and decided to come to your establishment out of curiosity. Hopefully I will find some work soon."

He notices the the tall, adamantite-plated warforged. "I'm Gimble. And who might you be?" he inquires, scanning the warforged like he was some kind of museum exhibit.

Guardian stands and gives a short bow to the gnome, "I am Guardian. It is a pleasure to make your aquaintance Gimble Niffledorn. Have you come here to find employment?"

 

[Patlin]

"That Dwarf that just left was hiring." Brews mentions. "You could probably catch up if you left now."

ooc: Last call for Traps and Wards.

"Well, if you have a team come with me to my office and we'll discuss your qualifications."

"What was he hiring for?" Guardian asks.

OOC: Animus' gnome artificer is a perfect fit for the group, as he can find and disable traps. Guardian could go along to trip a few traps, I suppose.
