I've already got that 1/2 BAB damage bonus rule in my own draft of house rules. However, I added a strict caveat that only the BAB derived from class levels (as opposed to Racial levels, Monster HD and NPC class levels) are counted for the damage bonus. I'm sure you can see where things would go in high level play if you had otherwise.

Weapon aptitude lets you apply weapon specific feats to a new weapon if you spend a few minutes taking some practice swings with it. It's something that I think the fighter class should have had all along.
