Bloodline schmud line. I prefer things like "ogre ancestry" to be fluff/RP explanation for stats or other qualities a character already has, not something that's added on. "She's got a 15 strength, that's pretty strong....maybe her grandmother was an ogre!"

I don't know that I've ever entirely lost track of a conversation, but bits and bobs have stuck out as ideas for adventures, places, or people.
