Secrecy Domain
aif.jpg

The secrecy domain may be taken by any cleric, for there is always sensitive information that must be trusted to be kept from others, especially rival faiths. Those who take this domain tend to be intrusted with special information that others, often not even those of the same faith, are told. Others are sent to infiltrate other organizations, safe in the knowledge that whatever happens, their doings cannot be traced back to the church.

Granted Powers: You gain immunity to abilities that would entice or force information from you. Spells alike to Detect Thoughts and Dominate still function, though they cannot cause one to divulge that which they would not before the spell. Even intimidation and torture are incapable of forcing from you what you wish to hide.

1. Undetectable Alignment
2. Taken to the Grave
3. Illusory Script
4. Modify Memory
5. False Vision
6. Taken to the Grave, Mass
7. Sequester
8. Mind Blank
9. Soul Bind

Cool domain, although I might of had some spells which stopped others rembering/hearing/seeing things. Just a thought though.
Well, modify memory and false vision does that and then lets you show them something else. Deafening and blinding has its place, but the victim kinda knows something weird is going on. This does the same job but eludes suspicion.

The Domain looks good, except for this part. It may be true in a particular campaign world, but I would argue that it really is not appropriate for all, or even most, faiths. While there might be sensative information in any faith that should be kept from rivals, and I do not neccesarilly agree that is going to be the case, that does not mean their god would grant them special powers to protect them. IMO, Domains should be based on the deities served and not the pragmatic policies of the religious heirarchy.

But again, thats a matter of interpretation and I can easilly concieve of a campaign setting where this would be applicable to some members of any faith. I just do not think that is the norm in DnD.
