Should my group break up?

How often do you manage to play? I know getting a group that large together can be a schedule nightmare.

We play every Sunday from 4 till 10:30.

Well, the idea was put forth at tonights game and it was completely voted down. It only received one positive comment (from me), everyone else is against the idea. Everyone feels that the group is too special to risk losing.

If the game has become unweildy due to having 8 or 9 players, then you are not enjoying it and something needs to be done about it.

But that's just it, they are enjoying it. Sure, the game might run more smoothly from a gaming perspective, but from a recreational perspective, the game is a phenomenal success. I simply don't see why you'd want to sacrifice the success of the recreation for the sake of the game. It's putting the cart before the horse. Of course, opinions will vary, but that's mine.
