Please get rid of the silly stuff altogether--or put it in its own book. The silly stuff is IMO not only not very funny, but wastes space, and therefore makes it harder to find the good, crunchy bits amongst all the fluff. That was the problem I had with the original Guide, anyway, and one of the reasons it never saw much use at my table.

I would like to see:

Houri Class or PrC

New skills/feats that give bonuses to interact with those attracted to your gender, bonuses to enchantment spells, etc.

Prostitution tables/costs

Slave tables/costs

How "good was it?" tables

More useful erotic spells, such as Charm Kiss from the 1st Guide

Ritual Orgy magic, Crazed Sex/Free Love Cults, Virgin Sacrifice

Rules on what happens if you become pregnant or impregnate someone while polymorphed outside your own race

"Hot" monsters like the succubus, erinyes, nymph and dryad...

Disadvantages like Lechery, Nymphomania, etc.

Venereal disease info for real world diseases and a few new fantasy ones

Different courtship and marriage customs from a variety of cultures and time periods (preferably rel historical ones)

Different laws regarding "taboo" subjects in various real historical cultures/times

Basically, things that are useful and not covered in the core rules

Clerics & Sex

In a world with "remove disease" I'm pretty sure syphillis and its ilk would not exist for long.

How good was it? What PC is going to put ranks into craft: orgasm?

I *would* like to see what others think about ritual sex magic, virgin sacrifice (does it do anything useful? Evil? Both?) etc..

My basic viewpoint is "Can I do it in real life?" If yes, why am I putting it in my fantasy game? Why not just have some real sex?(apologies to the 12-14 yo contingent) But I obviously can't go around looking for virgins to stab, and real ritual sex just doesn't have the same fantastical effect that I'm looking for in a D&D setting. And while I'm thinking about it, I can't recall the last time I was propositioned by a succubus. :)

You are forgetting that remove disease is not readily available or affordable in some worlds.

I had a PC put ranks in Perform: Sexual Prowress, he had like +22 to his check, LOL. Kept the ladies coming back for more! :D

Right. I stand corrected. :p

I say leave the silliness in. Anyone who actually uses the guide will be able to filter silly from not-so-silly themselves, based on thier own threshold of silliness.

And, if you do want a degree of 'realism' or seriousness, keep in mind that people do get very silly when it comes to sex, and that humor is an important part of any relationship, including sexual ones - and especially serious ones.

Why not make a chapter/appendix called 'Immature spells and items' and put them all together in that chapter? Then people know those aren't meant seriously and don't find them in they way of the other info.

There's link for those you are interested in actual guide.

If you wanted useful answers from those not already involved in development, you really should have put this link in the intro post. Or at least given an example of what you meant by silliness.

I looked over the spells and equiptment sections as those were the ones I had the most interest in, and frankly very little struck me as "silly". A good deal of it struck me as immature, and the "new uses for old spells" section in particular needs to be rewritten by an adult with a post-locker room sexual vocabulary. :(

I think perhaps a more useful poll would be to ask how many people who are potentially interested in this project plan on seriously using it. Include a link or sample. If it turns out most people are gonna read it for amusement value anyway (or not at all) feel free to make it as silly as you want.

wow, this discussion was way back in, ok, last year. Since then, we came a long way (for instance, I am not involved anymore). How did you find this thread? The content of the guide is not at all silly, anymore, therefor you will not find anything silly in it, at all.
This thread is closed. Please, go over to the development thread, if you want to be involved.
