D&D General Should the third Forgotten Realms DLC have actually been set in the Forgotten Realms?

Should the third Forgotten Realms DLC have actually been set in the Forgotten Realms?

I'd have preferred a Realmspace booster, personally.

That would at least be set in the Forgotten Realms.

I picked the 3rd option as I'm trying to be open minded at least until I read how they intergrate it with the Forgotten Realms, if it feels too forced or under cooked I will change my answer to yes as well. I really would have preferred something on Faerun or one of the other Continents of Toril or Abier.

I wish the D&D team would speak up about this and explain why they made Lorwyn the third DLC expansion of the Forgotten Realms.

Any chance of an explanation here? I have no idea what this refers to but I'd like to know
The two upcoming FR books can be bought in a bundle along with three 'DLCs', one of those is about Lorwyn

  • Astarion’s Book of Hungers: a digital expansion with new vampire-themed player options, monsters, and adventure content – shared by Astarion himself! ($14.99) | Release Date: November 11, 2025
  • Netheril’s Fall: a digital expansion where players can explore the lost Netherese Empire in a time traveling adventure ($14.99) | Release Date: November 11, 2025
  • Lorwyn: First Light: a digital expansion that supplements your Forgotten Realms adventures with Fey-inspired character options, adventures, and monsters from a new Domain of Delight in the Feywild called Lorwyn-Shadowmoor. ($14.99) | Release Date: November 18, 2025

Any chance of an explanation here? I have no idea what this refers to but I'd like to know
There are three digital-only 32 page supplements being released alongside the upcoming Forgotten Realms books (player & DM hardcovers):

- A supplement about playing Vampire characters with new Backgrounds, a Dhampir species, 16 Vampire Feats, and a tavern mini-setting in Baldur's Gate with Adventure material

- A time travel campaign guide for playing in ancient Netheril

- A thinly tied to the Moonshae Isles campaign guide for the Magic the Gathering Plane of Lorwyn, with new Fey Spckes, Backgrounds, Feats, Monsters, and a Gazateer with Adventure material

Now, Lorwyn traditionally has no toes to the Forgotten Realms, unlike the undead criminal underworld of Baldur's Gate or ancient Netheril. It is a distinct Magic the Gathering fairy setting.

So, a bit odd.

I guess is stands for Digitally Licensed Content... ? I had to look it up myself since it was not spelled out the first time it was used in the the thread. Google search did not event say what it actually is.
