Shrink Item and Max Shrinkable Volume

Stalker0

Legend
For Shrink Item, the target says 2 cu. ft/level. Now is this an ACTUAL 2 cubic foot, meaning a 2 by 1 by 1, or is it like the standard dnd cube, which would be 2 foot by 2 by 2.

If they ment a 2x2x2 cube they would have said "a 2 foot cube", since they said 2 cubic feet, they are talking about 2 1x1x1 cubes.

Robe of Useful Items
This appears to be an unremarkable robe, but a character who dons it notes that it is adorned with small cloth patches of various shapes. Only the wearer of the robe can see these patches, recognize them for what items they become, and detach them. One patch can be detached each round. Detaching a patch causes it to become an actual item, as indicated below. A newly created robe of useful items always has two each of the following patches:
dagger
bullseye lantern (filled and lit)
mirror (a highly polished 2-foot-by-4-foot steel mirror)
pole (10-foot length)
hemp rope (50-foot coil)
sack
In addition, the robe has 4d4 other items:
d% Result
-- ------
52-59 Pit, open (10 cubic ft.)

Now, as it happens, I agree with rhammer on the volume of Shrink Item.

But the authors of the Core Rules have confused the terms before :)
