I've been working on a logo to include on the map of
my upcoming Planescape campaign set in the planar city of Sigil.
I'd just like to know which version people like best.

All of them are nice, but the top one strikes me as most like my view of Sigil. The second would work for Eberron, and the third for Forgotten Realms.

I really like the top one. It sort of has a keyhole made out of the G in the center of the word.

It reminds me of other Planescape script. What did you draw\make them in?

That was my intent, though I'm not certain if it's an obvious feature to most people. I also find it funny that it's everyone's favorite; it was the easiest to make since it's just a modified typeface. Having invested more effort into the other two, I tend to like them more. :p

It seems to have the closest relationship to the subject matter, with the keyhole-door connection. The cross on the "S" is OK, but you might want to look into an alternative graphic element. If you're going for the "Goth" look, then it's fine.

Number 3, however, is probably the most aesthetically pleasing of the bunch. Great lettering art on all of them. Thanks for sharing.

My intention was for the first logo to feature the keyhole shaped G to tie into the 'City of Doors' subtitle. The middle logo was intended to feature the ornamental spiked ironwork which typifies the city's architectural style. The bottom logo is intended to show the ring shape of the city in the center G along with the long curving lines all flowing towards it to illustrate the crossroad nexus aspect of the city. I also had a bottom logo version with the familiar donut shape of the city floating above each of the two ii instead of the spade shapes. I simply thought having two Sigil donuts in the logo might seem a bit weird so I tossed the idea.

Looking at them at first, I choose the third; I like how it flows, and that sort of flowing elegance is an aesthetic that should fit Sigil's attitude.

Then I read the thread and took a second look: the keyhole "G" is friggin sweet.
