Silence 15" Radius, AntiMagic fields effect all ?

Outside of dispel magic (which is useful just like healing is against what a fighter does), I see no need for antimagic or its ilk.

In most cases, I think the cleric's "grant soandso a saving throw" powers fulfill the role of antimagic. Most of the truly persistent effects we've seen (mirror images, otiluke's sphere(however not divine challenge(yet))) can be overwhelmed by conventional means.

Well with that said , and classes seemingly balanced in power dose this not put spell casters at a disadvantage ?
