Silly question: Is ice cave an important part of nature?

Is ice cave a suitable place for a druid to protect?

But most things a druid would regard as sacred will be basically permanent on the timescale of his lifespan. An ice cave won't.
Where are you getting this emphasis on "permanent?" Something being permanent doesn't make it more natural -- if anything, permanence is a hallmark of unnatural things, whether through arcane magic or mechanical means.

A druid would view a sandbar -- which could last for a season or less -- as more sacred than he would a great wall erected by a long-forgotten empire to keep equally forgotten enemies out.

Your druid is more likely to view a region as what he's focused on, and his ice cave or sandbar or forest grove or whatever, merely as his base of operations within that region, and not the focus of his care itself.
