Yeah, that's interesting. Maybe CMW, CSW, and CCW all heal multiple surges worth at a time? Maybe they have bonus healing instead. CMW could add 1d6 to the healed amount, +2d6 for CSW, and +3d6 for CCW. I'm not sure how that fits in with the need for patching up damaged allies, though.
I can't imagine any other effects, though. I mean, they are Cure spells... But maybe they shot that cow, too, and added extra saving throws or status cures onto the later versions.
Now I really want to see how they handled this! Gah, can't wait for the books to come out!
