Sinister Spire(con't RBD)(Orsal Judging)

Rowan starts shouting, and goes into rage. Thought probably useless, he wonders if making lots of noise will confuse the blind grimlocks. He tries again to trip the lead attacker. If he succeeds, his feat gives him a free attack while it is down.

Rowan's Trip attack: 28.
Rowan's Strength check: 27 (including +4 from Improved Trip)
Grimlock's Strength check: 14

Rowan handily topples the grimlock, and then deftly slashes it while it is down:
Attack: 28
Damage: 13
The grimlock is bleeding, but only continues to growl and shout more fiercely.

From the back, grimlock #4 is also making incomprehensible noises, but in comprehensible way. Aside from waving its arms in a way that seem to be gesturing at the wall of the cave, it doesn't move anywhere.

Grimlock #5 charges straight at Rowan, waving a battleaxe. Rowan may take an attack of opportunity before his enemy reaches him (the joys of weapon reach).

=grimlock's attack:
Assuming the monster is not killed first:
Attack 18
Damage 10 HP

Does Rowan take the AoO?
What does Lookspring do?

Coordinating his attacks with the others, Lookspring fires upon the Grimlock attacking Rowan. He snarls and curses at the creatures, trying to be as intimidating as possible.

OOC: IC not working for me atm, he takes two shots at +9, 1d6+2 dmg.

OOC: W/combat reflexes, Rowan can get 3 AoOs per round, so it would be rare for him not to take one. He'll definitely try to take out the grimlock as it charges, though he's too busy with them to give much thought to the one in the back acting oddly. He'll just try to skewer it with his raging strength guisarme.

Rowan's AoO: 21. He cuts into the grimlock's thigh for 11 HP damage. Grimlock #5 falls to the ground.
Lookspring may choose to attack one of the other enemies instead. Here's the current layout:
Code:
gr4 gob3

     gob2
     gr3
     Ph
Row Look

Lookspring's attacks: 11,20. The second arrow pierces the goblin for 7 HP damage, a fatal blow. You are now facing just two grimlocks and one goblin.

Grimlock #3 must have been thrown for a loop by the unexpectedly fierce resistance you've all been offering. His next blow barely touches Phoenix (attack:11), leaving her still undamaged.

[sblock=Spot check DC 23]Two more grimlocks are joining the fray, one coming along each wall of the cavern. In the heat of the battle it's easy to miss them, camouflaged against the stone, but a sharp eye might notice them.[/sblock]

The grimlock in front of Phoenix has now taken much more of a beating than any of the creatures you've killed in this cave, but it still won't die.

From the back, the goblin throws another javelin, this time at Rowan. The throw is well-aimed, but too weak to penetrate his armour. (Attack: 13.)

Rowan's turn...
Code:
gr4 gob3

     gr3
     Ph
Row Look

OOC: Spot check 1d20-1=7 fail.

Rowan doesn't want to risk hitting Phoenix, so he drops his guisarme. (free action). He then whips out his heavy flail (MEA), steps forwards 5 feet and swings his flail at the grimlock's knees.

OOC: Trip attempt. rolls melee touch attack 29; strength check 12; to hit if trip successful 1d20+10 (forgot to roll this). Dmg if hit: 14. This is his 2nd round raging (of 7), giving him a strength of 20 & an AC of 16
