Lookspring takes a few moments to explore the cavity. He twists around uncomfortably to feel the walls and ceiling. He digs at the floor hoping to find some other hidden nook.

Rowan investigates the cavity. Damn Grimlocks never brush...

..and he finds an iron key hidden inside.


Lookspring, meanwhile, continues to search the hole in the wall, but finds nothing.

Lookspring scrambles out of the hole after discovering nothing of interest. He dusts himself off and retrieves his discarded weapons. "I am hoping you were having more luck. Nothing was being inside there."

 

[Manzanita]

Rowan hands the key to lookspring. "Maybe this will open the drawer."

 

[SelcSilverhand]

Lookspring shrugs and tries to open the drawer with the key, seeming not to notice the other two edging away...

OOC: You're the designated rogue, buddy. But feel free to play up that CE alignment of yours.

The key does open the locked drawer. Inside Lookspring finds:
A scroll with divine magical writings
A potion
A necklace with three large golden beads
A magnificent circular black stone, well-polished and engraved with draconic writings
50 gold pieces and 20 platinum pieces

Lookspring pulls out the necklace and the strange stone. "Hmmm, this is being of interest!" He tosses the necklace to Rowan and pantomimes offering it to Phoenix. He then turns his attention to the black stone, turning it over and over in his hands. He glances at the others, seeing if they are properly distracted by the necklace so they won't notice his free hand trailing inside the drawer.


OOC: Bah, sleight of hand is trained only sadly. >.< If the others are distracted he'll try to snatch a handful of gold coins.

Rowan stays close as Lookspring opens the drawer. He frowns at the katara's suggestion for the necklace. What if it's cursed? He does reach for the black stone. He feels drawn to it for some reason. Something about the writing seems familiar.

"Let's pack all this stuff into Phoenix's bag. Someday we'll get out and get it identified and sold. Could we have missed a passage earlier, in the dark? We can't get though that little nook Looky found."

Not understanding the marks on the stone, Phoenix holds out her bag for anything to be put in it as needed. "Not sure what to do now. I suppose we backtrack and see if we missed anything somewhere."
