(Site Found!!)Ohio Gameday Part 3

I have a found a (possible) site.

Site info: its in Dayton (about 4 miles from Wright State University campus for those familiar with the area) and extremely easy to get to. We can have it from 8 AM in the morning to pretty much however late you schmoes can convince my wife to let me come out and play. And, as long as I book it this week, I don't forsee us having any problems getting whatever weekend in late Feb/Early March we want.

This place has a small room (where I think we could set up about two or three tables) OR a big room (where we could fit almost a small 50 person convention with no trouble), so I'm not really all that worried about space. This place does carry a small cost ($50), but I'm pretty sure we can work something out. It does not have a lot of amenities, but has the basics (bathroom, proximity to fast food, etc).

So, let's talk dates and get this thing rolling!

Sounds great. I say go with March 20th, or 27th. That gives plenty of time to get the planning done. We can charge like 4 dollars a person, all we need is dozen people to cover the cost of the room.

I'll be bumping this about once a day (if it needs it) so we can get the ball rolling full steam.

Crothian, maybe we should change the thread title to include "Site found" or something?

Oh, and BUMP.

March 20 works for me.. I'll bow out of the LAN party that month and make the trek with Crothian.. I think the $4 fee is reasonable.. provided we get enough interest... can we get a front page news post regarding this by any chance?? Just to get everyone's attention.. also possibly track down those who attended in the past and send them a note via PM or email?

Doesn't hurt to get people who already came interested again.

So far, if the choice is between March 20th and 27th, the 2oth looks better (LrdApoc and Quickbeam would be better set on the 20th).

I wasn't thinking about charging for attendance, but the idea of a donation bucket appeals to me. The first $50 in the bucket would go toward the hall rental, and any overage in the bucket could get magically turned into pizza near the end of the night.

I'd like to go ahead and pencil in a date by the end of the week, just to make sure we get the time we want before it fills up. If the 20th seems good for everyone (and we don't get any objections by Thursday or Friday), I'll try and get the hall reserved.

So who's interested in running games?

Either date works for me. I'll run a game, either something pulpish (MnM or modern, so hard to decide) or a political-type game, both of which I've been itching to run.
