Skillmonkey fighter?

Thug 16 / Feat Rogue 4 seems better IMHO. Uncanny Dodge is nice, and two more levels of skill points are nice.

For multiclass combinations, consider: Rogue 4 / Swashbuckler 3 / Halfling Paragon 3 / Fighter 10. Take Weapon Focus and Specialization (Daggers), and then Melee Weapon Mastery and Ranged Weapon Mastery.

For massive Martial multiclass madness, consider: Rogue 4 / Swordsage 4 / Swashbuckler 3 / Halfling or Human Paragon 3 / Thug 4 / Ranger 2. You'll need a DM who hates XP penalties, of course. Else, drop the Rogue levels to 3 and raise the Ranger level to 3 (and be careful with the order you level up).

There's some fun to be had with Cloistered Cleric + Persistent divine power, too. ;)

I like the Rogue 4 / Thug 16 too. Try saying "massive Martial multiclass madness" as fast as you can several times!

Another fun prestige class is the Shadowsmith (Tome of Magic). It's got full BAB and 6 skill points per level (with a sucky skill list, but whatever -- Able Learner is there for you, mang).

Some tips on its (ab)use here.

Even easier with UA: Do not go fighter, take the rogue variant that swaps sneak attack for Fighter Bonus Feats. For better BAB, multiclass as desired.

This Rogue variant is in UA? I don't see it, just the Wilderness Rogue....

looking at either an archer fighter, or technical fighter (trip, disarm etc.)
Complete Champion's got your back for both of those concepts.

The ranger variant called Champion of the Wild (p50) exchanges the ranger's very minor spellcasting ability for a slew of bonus feats that will do exactly what you want. Among the very solid options provided are the good archery feats and the technical melee fighter feats.

Full BAB, 6 skill points per level, a bunch of useful feats, and all the rest. No multiclassing necessary.
