Slaves of the Dragon (orsal judging)

The cleric watches with apparent interest as Veras-Re kills the first kobold, then says "Come on, that's ridiculous. You'll never become an efficient killer that way. Stack them up, take a blade, and kill them in one strike. THAT's efficient.
N'lan, join them.
" he nods to 13, then shouts "
L'Rith, leave that brush, but drop your weapon beforehand! Case Utter Defeat!
"

He then turns to Opale "Please, she-vermin. You have met the girl. The daughter of Jeline..." As Naga surrounds Opale, he pauses for a second. "A viper. Maybe you are a step removed from common vermin to recognize the might of the scaled folks. Anyway - you know what Sina knew - Grenton is ruled by Eskaron. That's why you're here. Jeline's clumsy bluff couldn't fool us. That's dangerous knowledge."

Katherine for one brief moment looks angrily at Opale, but spins away and grabs one of the surrendering kobalds, pulling it out of earshot of the cleric and Opale while they continue whatever conversation they need. Pointing the kobald conspicuously towards Veras-ra's bloody work, she leans over and speaks directly into its ear. "
You have one chance to live
", she says in deadly calm draconic. "
Which is one more chance than you deserve for your patheitc fighting and poor choice of leader. Were you meant to kill us all here or to bring any survivors to your dragon? And is there already another group on its way to Grenton?
" She attempts to possition it so that it can't look at the leader/cleric and so that Garma or jacks dog is readily visible.

He nods to Jack.

Jack, free of the responsibility of a subdued captive, leaps onto Rover's back, and spurs the hound into action. They skirt around the edge of the entangling thicket at a full gallop, with an eye and an ear out for any fleeing - or approaching - kobolds.

OOC: Jack and Rover are heading out at top speed, in an attempt find and catch up any fleeing kobolds before they get word to the rest of the tribe and Eskaron.
Rover's base land speed is 40 ft.

Jack: Listen = 22, Spot = 16.
Rover: Listen = 7, Spot = 15.

Veras-Re outwardly ignores the Kobold leader's comments. He is, however, impressed at his bloodthirstyness against his own race.

This must be a Kobold of power to have such confidence.

OOG: I don't think he'll find anything, but does Veras-Re's search of the corpses turn up anything?

Katherine turns the kobald around to face her and stares into its eyes. "
It's now, little one. Its now. Tell me about the dragon. Tell me the truth. And tell me if the woman in Grenton is in danger.
"

[sblock]"Eskaron is the dragon. He rules the clan. Grenton has been part of it for a long time. Now, it will be abandoned. One way, or another. One way, involves safety for the slaves. The other... not."[/sblock]

(There are no fleeing kobolds as far as you see. The ones that remained standing, more or less, are the cleric, Rover's victim, the one who tossed away her weapon, and the one who got lost in the brush, and is slowly crawling out of the tangle. As far as you can see, that last one has indeed dropped his weapon. The rest, including the spellcaster 7, were dropped unconcious or killed.)

Veras-Re, on his search of the kobolds, finds the following:
A longspear, 3 shortspears, a greataxe, a battleaxe, a longsword, a falchion, a heavy pick, a scythe, a morningstar and 12 leather armors (2 are still worn), as well as a total of 30 gp. The armors and weapons are sized for small creatures.
From the spellcaster's body, he secures two potions, a masterwork spear, and another 30 gp.
A search of the priest produces another potion, a masterwork morningstar, and 50 gp.

Opales looks at Katerine and says in elven "
Ok, it might have not been the best move to tell Jeline about her girl, but if I had a chance to change that... I wouldn't do it. We still got a chance to do save the village, and the informationw we got will be usefull. And Jeline had the right to know. Take care of some kids once in your life and you'll understand.
"

She return her attention to the kobold and speak to him in draconic "
What use have Eskaron for Grenton? Why a dragon would bother to take contro of that small village?
"

Planus quickly tires of the Draconic conversation that he doesn't understand. "Next time, I hope we find a villiage held hostage by halflings or elves. At least then I could understand what they are talking about. He moves over to the downed sorcerer (7) to take a look at its spell component pouch. He digs through for anything interesting to play with, while keeping his bow handy in case it is needed.

OOC: Just checking in. No need to say what things he finds, unless you want.

With the conversation falling completely in Draconic and Elven, Veras-Re decides to concentrate on more mundane, yet immediate matters. He appraises his findings' value using his own skill at Craftsmanship.

Of the weapons, only the Falchion (75gp, 4 lb), Masterwork Spear (301 gp, 3 lb)and Masterwork Morningstar (308gp, 3 lb) are of great value. The scythe (18gp, 5 lb), greataxe (20 gp, 6 lb)and long sword (15gp, 2 lb) are of moderate value. The rest of the weapons are of small consequence. He says this quietly though loud enough for those paying attention to his actions to hear.

Veras-Re takes the valuable weapons and puts them in a neat pile, claiming no ownership over them as of yet. He also places the potions out for people to see (and for the arcanists to decipher). As for the gold, he gives out each party member's shares later on to whomever is near and otherwise unoccupied.

When the party gets back to moving, Veras-Re plans to carry the pile of weapons (23 lbs total). He will bind them in rags to prevent them from being too obvious. For now, though, they are there for others to pick up or see.

OOG: 30+30+50=110/5= 11 gp each person.
