Quarion spits. He says sharply in elven,
"We regretted taking prisoners last time. Let us not make the same mistake again. Interrogate them, find out what we need, and then end their miserable lives." Quarion goes to Garma and leads him to Katherine for a healing.
Heal for Garma (1d8+1=7)
Katherine says shortly,
as she lays about with the wand. (ooc:slag, use all you want, we'll buy more.

I consider even a cantrip more valuable than a charge on a wand, unless the wand is very low, which mine isn't.)
To Veras, she says calmly, "End their suffering." She adds to the lead kobald, "no need to make their ends slower, yes?"
"Opale or Rika, could you check with the minions on why we should accept a surrender at this stage? I'm more interested in what these petty brigands have to do with Grenton." She continues to observe the presumed cleric intently.
ooc:[sblock]bluff +5, Sense motive +6 and Diplomacy +9. (unless we got more than 550 XP, heh heh....

) Katherine is trying to give the kobald the impression that they have no idea of the connection between Grenten and the lizards and draw out any specific details of what the kobald's (and ?dragon?'s) next plans will be for the village... also if the kobald was supposed to bring them back as prisoners/corpses... which could lead to a fun plan.

Random rules/strategy muse ooc: [sblock]I so wish there was a low level spell/ability/trustable rule to act as a sort of geas but voluntarily accepted. Its within both logic and narrative structure for petty minions to switch sides if sufficiently wupped on, but all I can think of is a massive intimidate check (the only 'social' skill katherine doesn't have,) and keeping them close by.... hmmm.... given the circumstances, of the minions wanting to surrender (not the leader, who seems cocky in his loserdom) could a diplomacy check replace intimidate for the same general results? If these guys were supposed to bring us back for dramatic execution to teach Grenton a lesson, we have a classic trap setup here....[/sblock]
