Slayers: Where does Naga Fit in?

Well, I watched the first season of Slayers and have the second one on order. It's like $59.99 so it's a $60 savings.

However, I've seen a few specials and movies where there's anotehr character, Naga, whose not in the first season and I see no mention of her in the Slayer's d20 book, which covers seasons 1-3.

Is this like Dragonball Z where the specials take place in the same universe but kind of outside the standard timeline?

Naga and Lina travelled together preceeding the main series, so most of the movies are prequels. That tends to be why the most powerful magic Lina will use during the OAVs/Movies is the Dragon Slave.

I don't recall if it is mentioned why they stopped traveling together. There are some vague references to her in the main series, and she had a brief cameo in the last of the Slayers movies I'd seen (this was post-series and featured the standard cast).

If I recall correctly from other series information (possibly the manga?), she's also Amelia's elder sister, and inherited the costume from her mother...which says more about Prince Phil than anyone probably wants to know. I don't believe it comes up in the series to any degree. Much like Luna Inverse that way. Scariest when not there.

yeah throught the series amelia drops hints about an older sister and if you know naga is seems pretty clear that is is her like Volaran said.

you sadly won't see her in the series, I personally would have thought it would have been great, just to see a reaction from amelia or lina.

there was a special were Naga was in, she was hired as a sorceress to oppose Lina and crew which included amelia, yet right as she was making her "debut" she was taken down and that was the end without them finding out it was her... again so close..lol

but Volaran pretty much covered everything.

It's worth asking, does the Slayers manga (or, if anyone has and can read them, the novels) mention anything in this regard? I have a few volumes, but they can't possibly be all of them, so there might be something there about it (though it seems unlikely).

There a few different manga series.
'Slayers Special' includes Naga.
'Slayers Super Explosive Demon Story' doesn't.

I'm not sure about the others.

Geoff.
