[Slightly silly] Why are the heads of companies always 'Presidents'?

I mean really? Why not Chancellor, or Prime Minister, or Supream Commander? We're in the business of publishing for fantasy (mostly at least...) so why not High Wizard? Grand Master? Court Magus? Overlord? Come up with some interesting titles people! President is so overused.

PS: If there is a real reason why President is prefered over any other term, please keep in mind this is a toung in cheek thread, but I'd like to know anyway. These boards are always so informative.

Oh why not then....

I just declared myself Imperial Wonder Boy of Dragon Claw Games. Of course, I'm not sure how well this will go over with the folks at the bank:p

The masses will refer to me as 'Wonder Boy', though I suspect most will opt for the shorter version-- just 'boy'
