Slow Downs and General Nasty-ness

Could Someone in the know tell us whats going on with all the timeouts and slow loading times? Is it Just the message boards getting too big for their alloted space server space or bandwidth?

Traffic's been going through the roof. At one point today, we had over 2000 people on the main site (plus 300+ on the messageboards). Hopefully it's just a temporary spike.

Is turning off the forums every now and again your way of letting us know you need more money for a server upgrade? Is there even a link or an accout for it?
