The slow would dispel the haste automatically, no save. Just like you don't get a save when someone casts dispel magic to strip you of your spells.

Good example. That only difference between Dispel Magic and Slow is Slow is 100% effective against Haste, no check required.

Note that a Wand of Slow is actually a pretty useful item for stripping Haste for higher level parties. The casting level isn't relevant when used for this purpose.
