Smackdown time, need 4

Who ever said anything about fighting fair? The dragon isn't gonna be around so the paladin can charge at him to do the 7k+ hp of damage. The dragon will use everything at his disposal just like the players. It will fly, cast, fight, run, hide, and whatever else it can do. It won't sit there and let the warrior types wail on it. Especially if it can prevent this.

On another note, I personally think skill bonus items are cheap. They cost way too little and are just way too munchkinny. So unless you have a high enough spellcraft check to make some of those ultra powerful epic spells then good luck trying to =op

I just noticed that when it comes to epic spells, the dragon will be very nearly as strong as the single-class wizard. Epic spell power is based on the Spellcraft skill; the dragon has 82 class levels, while the wizard has 86, so their max skill ranks are not far separated.

Also note that spellcasting dragons get 1 free rank of Spellcraft per hit die. Ow.

Active spells and abilities are ended, full stop. They can be recast, but that takes the normal casting time. (Spell-like abilities require a standard action.) Even if they're quickened, you have a finite allotment of quickened actions per round. Would you rather spend your time re-casting your dispelled buffs, or doing something useful, like attacking the enemy? Keep in mind that if you do re-buff, the PC wizard will just dispel you again, while the others attack for damage.

Ahh, I did say *could* be re-activated on the next round. The dragon would probably take another tactict thought *grin*

Current Dragon Stats

See the link below:

These are the current dragon stats. He is by no means done yet!

I was torn wether I should post these or not. But I figured that a group of characters going after D'Stracco would most likely do LOTS of homework before confronting him.

Oh and one other thing WRT followers don't consider ANY follower in the smack down because if you do, I will have to consider his...Hmmm Epic Leadership (astute readers will notice that this is not *currently* on his stat sheet, but it most likely will be tonight).

Not to mention that the dragon will also most deffinately have a higher int then the wizard.

Got me there. :)

And the fact that it's based on Spellcraft combined with limited plus to skill items seriously puts the ball in Draco's court on the spell front.

Good luck!

Just for fun...

Eyes of the Divine (Su): The character constantly serves his deity as its 'eyes' in the mortal realm. What the scion sees, the deity sees. In this way, the scion can focus the deity's attention on important matters that might otherwise go unnoticed. Once per day, the scion can use this attention to influence events. Any single die roll made by a character within the line of sight of the scion (not including himself) can be any number the scion wishes it to be. This number must be possible on the die in question and this power does not influence any re-roll if the target has access to one and wishes to use it.

That could make short work of just about anything used properly.

"I cast destruction."

"Roll me a spell resistance check."

"Got it by 7. The fortitude save for my spell is 37. But calling upon my god, I want the target to roll a 1 on this roll and auto-fail the save."

"Hmmmm... The scion's eyes blaze forth as befits an avatar, and the dragon is consumed, mind, body, and soul, in a conflagration terrible to behold of holy fire."

I can't give away ALL my secrets! :)

My guess would be Quintessential Cleric, but I actually got it out of Mongoose's collection of d20 prestige classes called Ultimate Prestige Classes. They have stuff in there from Quint books, Relics & Rituals from Swords & Sorcery, and a bunch of other sources, so your guess is as good as mine as to it's original source.

But aside from that uber ability, it is a very cool class that takes the Transcendance goal of the Divine Disciple (a.k.a. become an outsider) and expands upon it. By the end of it, your race and appearance combine your features with those of an avatar of your god until you resemble an amalgam of the two.

I'm currently playing a mad old priest who's channeled too much of his god's power and is a little cracked in the head. During moments of clarity though he takes on the appearance of a tall humanoid of hard black obsidian skin streaked with narrow fissures that radiate silvery blue fire in arcane designs. His eyes and hair become composed of the same arcane fire and he sprouts jet black feathered wings as his whole body begins to radiate a soft radiance. Course, I've yet to get the chance to use any of my abilities or cast any spells as I'm usually lost in conversation with friends long dead, but when I finally get to cut loose it should be fairly entertaining. I hope it will be very memorable.

Damn. I babble. Please excuse me.
