Smackdown time, need 4

I know it's not from any of the sword and sorcery books, well not RR and RRII anyway. So since it isn't from that or any of the core books or anything else I mentioned then it isn't really legal. Sounds overpowering though anyway for a prestige class ability. Unless that's like the only ability the prestige class gets at level 10 and you need to be a 10th level character before ya take the prestige class anyway.

Yeah, I would like to know where the he#$ that comes from too. I really like it...he he he... kreynolds might hate me in a later campaign.

Hey, Berk, are you and Jeremy brothers, or do you two roleplay together?

LOL!

Never met the cutter. :) I get the feeling we'd either get along famously or be at each other's throats though. :D

And I wouldn't recommend using my name or that ability to start the conversation with. I already asked k if I could sit in on one of your guy's games and I get the feeling he didn't want me to pollute you. [hey... where's the innocent angel smiley?]

Oh I know, I just posted it because it came to mind. :)

Darn, I would really like to mess with my players with something like that one day. I was just wondering about the relationship because you two seem to have similar answers to everything, that's all. No harm done!

<--as I wonder around in the moonlight looking fo rmy shorts-->

Those who are so assured of Disjunction should beware the following (thrown together in 2 seconds, with no thought to Spellcraft DCs).

Disjoin the Dsjoiner
Abjuration
Level: Epic Spell
Components: V, S, M, XP
Casting Time: 1 day
Range: personal
Duration: 1 year
Saving Throw: Yes (see text)
Spell Resistance: No

When the caster of this spell finds himself in the area of effect of a Mordenkainen's Disjunction, two things occur.

1) The Disjunction rebounds upon the original caster. Its area of effect is now centered on the caster's location. All other effects (including saving throw DCs) are as normal for the original caster.

2) After the disjunction rebounds, the original caster is struck by a blast of negative energy and gains Xd4 negative levels. A Fortitude save DC X reduces the number of negative levels gained by half.

--------------------
The X's are because I didn't want to try to figur out the spellcraft DC for this spell. However, you could completely drop clause 2) and probably have a fairly low DC spell. Especially if you make it a ritual with as many casters sacrificing whatever slots they can spare.

Disjunction will certainly rule the day for the side it works for, assuming they can immediately follow it up with a winning blow. Otherwise, the other should be able to escape to regroup.
And of course, you have to kill the dragon in one blow, because he is a Red Dragon Sorcerer, meaning he has access to Heal as one of his spells known. :)

So with an extra long casting time, a ritual spell requiring an obscene amount of casters, and money and XP and time to burn, how difficult would a Disjoin the Disjoin the Disjoiner spell be?

Snicker, actually Palin and I are brothers. Don't know Jeremy but he is right, we would either be at each others throats or be chums.

Anyways the disjoin the disjoiner thing is kinda kewl. And we can string a long a ton of rebounding spell epic spells. We can also string along a ton of recast as free action spells that just got disjoined or dispelled. It would most likely be a spell slinging battle. But you have to admit, the dragon has more then a distinct advantage.

Anyways again, still waiting to see some well thought out smackdowns to throw against this dragon when it gets finished.

I've refactored the dragon a little bit on my website.

I'm going to have to finish his spell list. Create a bunch of epic and non-epic spells that I know he knows, but I haven't written down yet.

I'll also have to create a few magic items that I know he has as well.

Oh and it turns out the dragon is actually CR 96, not 86... So were are looking for 4 96th level characters really.
