Small Characters and Exotic WP

I was thinking about allowing small characters to be able to use the dwarven war axe and bastard sword (and other medium sized exotic weapons) in two hand if they took the Exotic Weapon Prof for it. Is this already approved, would it be too unbalancing? I can't see how it would. A medium sized character takes a feat to use the weapon and get a small amount of more damage but also the ability to use a shield. The small character gets only the small amount of more damage for the same feat. I look forward to any comments.

i don't see a problem with allowing it. Compare the Long sword (martal, Medium, 1d8, 19-20/x2) to the Bastard sword (Exotic, medium, 1d10, 19-20/x2). Seems fair for an exotic weapon feat.

The dwarven war axe vs Battle ax. Are the exact same comprison so i'd allow it (1d10, x3) vs (1d8, x3)

Under the current rules:

A Small character can use a bastard sword in two handfs without the feat, albeit at -4.

A Small character with Str 13+ can take the feat and use a bastard sword two handed without penalty.

What are you changing, exactly? The Str prerequisite?

I didn't think they would be able to use it at all. So It is simply a medium exotic weapon, even though it is too large for a medium character to use in one hand? Works for me I will just treat it as a non-weapon penalty. I had just thought that since a medium size character had to use two hands on those weapons that a small charcater wouldn't be able to at all. So my apologies as this should have been a rules and not a house rules question. Thanks for the assistance.

I thought that the rules said you could. Look at the Fullblade(I think that it is in Sword and Fist.) It's a huge weapon that requires an Exotic Weapon Proficiency to use two handed(correct me if I am wrong.)
