Small request re: returning weapons

If you include returning magic weapons in 4e, please make it so that they return to the wielder wherever he is (within reason), and not simply to the same square he was in when he attacked. I think the only way to make an agile 'throw and return' character was to take some halfling prestige class, which let you, as a high level ability, have your daggers return you even if you moved.

In particular, I'm making an NPC for an adventure who flies and wields a two-bladed sword. One end is wounding, the other is throwing and returning. I thought it would be awesome to have this warrior swooping between trees, hurling her sword and then moving to cover, until I realized the sword would fly back to where she had been, and then just fall down. Not nearly as cool.

Yeah, I had the same problem with a spartan I played in a recent ancient Greece campaign. I thought I was such a good role-player making a fighter without greatsword until I realised I had thrown away my only melee weapon, a returning short spear.
