I'm sort of surprised they haven't done anything with Brainiac yet. I gather that this will happen over the course of the next 3-4 episodes. Anyone know what the plans are with the Brainiac character? All I know of Brainiac is that he was one of silliest villains on Super Friends.

Do you think Chloe is still hung up on Clark? She sure seems to be, and Lex even noticed it, taunting her with being the 'third wheel'. They need to give Chloe something (someone) to do other than hang out with Clark and Lana.

I bet next week is when Clark tells Lana what's going on. She HAS to suspect something at this point, what with the freaks talking about him in front of her the way they were.

You'll get some of your Brainiac answers in next weeks espisode, or at least the previews lead you to believe that.

Why not? it has plot, it has conflict, it is not episodic the villians may change but the mastermind is still there. The episodes are linked together with a common theme and discovery.
I did enjoy last nights episode. I guess I don't want to get my hopes up. The writters do have that history of falling into a pattern and then getting stuck in said pattern.
Plus IIRC didn't Clark
lose his powers for a few espisodes in a previous season
?

Brainiac will nest week and the week after with AC aka
Aquaman
. Brainiac has special plans, in which James Masters says this:
I play a being that was created as a computer system to run Krypton. A man named General Zod wanted to take over Krypton's ruling council, reprogrammed me and tried to have me take over the planet, but in doing so, destroyed Krypton. Except I survived and came to Earth and find the most beautiful planet, almost better than Krypton, really. Except that there are these horrible creatures called humans who are killing all of the other animals, and destroying all of the forests and killing the atmosphere. You can tell scientifically this species has about 100 years maximum to live, so why don't we just kill them off now and take this beautiful planet? Kryptonians think in long terms. This will be a beautiful planet for millions of years. So I'm trying to convince Clark and seduce him into stopping thinking like a monkey. I'm trying to get him to step up and be more than he thinks he is.
Now this go either way.

Bah, not without Chloe, he can't!

Of course in a way this is one of his "powers" -- the ability to make friends and have human emotions and motivations. Part of what makes him "our" hero instead of an alien. :)

I think Chloe's in heaven right now -- she is nearly as intimate with Clark as she can be except for the physical stuff. I think she's relishing her secret relationship/secret knowledge. I don't know if she yet fully realizes what a danger she may be to Clark or to herself.

The last time Clark lost his powers, Lex got to witness Clark in pain/hurt/bleeding -- this time, too. It's an important plot point that allows Lex to kind of "reset" his ClarkSuspicion-O-Meter. But I wonder how long it will last.
