Smallville 5-5-04- Potential Spoilers

Yeah, like Morrus said, Lois, not Lana...

Personally I see that as unlikely, but I'm not counting it out. It would be 100% against DC continuity dating back to 1938... but since I've been hoping that Clark and Chloe would get together since the first season, I'd be willing to forego that faux pas and let it slide just once.

It's been established in the Smallville continuity that
1) Lois Lane is Chloe's cousin.
2) Lois Lane has no interest in journalism.
3) Chloe Sullivan has used Lois Lane as a pen name.

So there's a possibility that in the Smallville continuity, Chloe "is" Lois. I'm not sure how much of one, but it seems pretty clear that the writers wanted to leave an opening if they decided to go in that direction.

I have to disagree. Clark never met Lois before he started work at the Daily Planet. He and Chloe have too much history and the spark just is not there.

Personally, Chloe will probably die at some point in the series. When Clark meets Lois later in life, he will probably be drawn to her because of her likeness to Chloe.

Also, no one knows that Chloe wrote those stories. The editor died, so all they know is that someone named Lois Lane wrote them. It provides and interesting way for Lois to get into journalism through Chloe.
