Smallville 5-5-04- Potential Spoilers

That fight near the end was superb. The power of the characters really comes across in this show - when Clark picked up the tree and used it like a club to knock Jeremiah across the clearing, it just looked right (unlike other superheroic fights, such as in Superman II, which just don't convey that sense of might).

Okay I have a question that has been bugging me since I watched it, but it doesn't have anything to do with the show.

How as the actress that was showing the Talon? I know I know her, but I can't put my finger on who she is.

Interesting, but in the comic Lana marries Pete.

What I find intriguing is the Lana/ Lex relationship that has blossomed in the last few episodes. Could it be that Lex and Lana will get together? He definitely seems to be moving her torwards his type of life.

Personally, I think Chloe will be the one to die, because Clark fails to save her. Possibly because of something Lana/ Lex related.

I am enjoying the story line a great deal. Some of this season has been mediocre, but they are definitely building torwards something good.

I don't think Lex and Lana will ever get together, mostly due to the age gap. He's in his mid-to-late twenties, and she's a junior in high school. It just wouldn't work.

And I'm afraid that you might be right about Chloe. I hope that she doesn't die -- I've grown pretty attatched to the character -- but from a logical standpoint, she just can't keep going around messing in Luthor's personal affairs and live to see the series finale. Unless she has a serious change of heart and completely changes her world-view, the poor girl might as well start drafting her will now. I'll be sorry to see her go.

She plays Doctor Frazier on Stargate SG-1. It took me 10 minutes to remember where I saw her before.

I think SV Lex is only about 6 or 7 years older than Clark & Co. In the Pilot, Lex was 9, while everybody else were just toddlers. Not an insurmountable age difference, but I doubt the writers would be crazy/stupid enough to begin a Lex/Lana relationship in earnest.

Allison Mack, the actress who plays Chloe, has said that her character isn't going anywhere, at least for a while. Also,
Lionel Luthor is going to jail by thge end of the season, so the threat to Chloe will be somewhat diminished.

Man, I'd be so happy if Lana is written off of the show. However, it's extremely unlikely that it will happen. She's the Leading Lady, and so, we're stuck with her until the end of the show.

Hmmm. I never thought about it, but Lana might be what finally drives the wedge between Clark and Lex. I'm thinking after his previous two 'loves' proved themselves bad people that he might be attracted to someone as 'pure' as Lana is. Whatever happens, it leads to her death, and the final blow to Clark and Lex's friendship. That would be workable.

Lana pretty much has to go at some point, if we ever see Lois.

Thank you! Oh man that was driving me crazy.

I don't think Chloe is going to die. Don't forget that she used the name Lois Lane, her cousin who has no interest in writing, as her pen name for a couple of articles after Lionel black listed her. She could very well be Lois Lane.

*Doh! Stupid Lana-Lois mix up.

Yeah, like Morrus said, Lois, not Lana...

Personally I see that as unlikely, but I'm not counting it out. It would be 100% against DC continuity dating back to 1938... but since I've been hoping that Clark and Chloe would get together since the first season, I'd be willing to forego that faux pas and let it slide just once. :p
