I was reading Television Without Pity's recaps and I think they are better than watching the show itself.

Tragically, Omar loses his mojo at the beginning of Season 2. The first season is hilarious, though. "Lana smiles and her face splits open to reveal an even prettier face which human eyes can't look at."

I will be watching Smallville tonight. I'm just glad WB didn't put it in the same timeslot that Night Stalker is in. This season is supposed to rock with Clark finding the Fortress of Solitude, learning how to fly and finding out that Lex can be just as bad as Lionel ever was.

[sblock]He could be Brainiac. After all, in the cartoons, that evil piece of software has been root of many an evil plot. Plus, it would be above the thing to pretend to be Clark's father. That would make a kind of twisted sense, wouldn't it?[/sblock]

I thought the episode was fairly interesting. I never really got into Smallville myself, all the teen angst and freak of the week goofiness was always silly to me, though I have been watching the more recent "sweeps" episode. I'm thinking they won't realyl be able to do much more than 1 or 2 season of this show anyway, because eventually Clark will have to embrace his destiny, and they can't keep stretching things out forever.
