Smuggled photos

Depending on your character, a glowy weapon is pretty in character. Certainly my bard's rapier was glowy. Plus, it means you don't have to worry about carrying a torch, or dropping it in combat.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but if these pics were 'smuggled' then shouldn't ENWorld be obligated to take down the pics or else face the wrath of Wizards? My point is they probably aren't smuggled. Just an observation. And my observation on the interior art is overall positive surprisingly. I am not crazy about the dragon scene. It takes a special artist to pull off dragon art. I do like this page compositioning better than the covers! The whitespace doesn't bother me and like was mentioned before it will probably make this more casual to read.

30% of them glow. I have the feeling that more than 30% of the 4E art weapons glow. But what really bothers me, is that they all have the same basic glow effect.

Some variety would be nice (besides colour).

This is what I'm talking about ... I wouldn't mind it if they didn't all have the same lightsaber-like photoshop glow effect. I want to see some burning with flames! I want to seem some all covered in ice and frost! I want to see some that drip blood! I want to see some that have oddly-shaped auras or something! But for heaven's sake! Why do they all have to look like lightsabers?!

OK now we're talkin! I thought about this over the weekend. This is a calculated leak to get hype. Why are there not more pictures out in the wild? Why so "staged"? This doesn't look like a nervious snap snap from a worried fan... it looks like someone from WotC saying, go-a-head my son and good on ya.

Is WotC playing us?

and the more I think about it the more I'm bugged that more out in the wild pictures haven't surfaced.
