Snake's Swiftness, Mass too powerful?

Okay, just got back from playing Dnd at a friend's house. I'm playing a Druid and I have Snake's Swiftness, Mass [From Spell Compendium] memmed twice and the DM kinda groans whenever I cast it because though it uses my action, it allows all allies within 20 feet of me to make one attack when I cast that spell. Considering that our group has a tendency to stay clumbed, that virtually means everyone gets that attack.

Is it too powerful for a 2nd level spell, or is it only buff because we are almost always grouped together? Or did I just miss something about it?

Bingo. That spell sees a lot of use in my Thursday campaign, in which I'm also playing a druid. But for every fight in which it's a life-saver, there's another where it's totally useless, because if the party clumps together it just opens up them up for a series of breath weapons or fireballs.

It is, I think, a perfectly good spell as is.

I say too strong. But i am really cautious about abilities that allow tanks to get additional attacks, since that means the spell scales infinitely.

At least with haste, the spell can be stripped off in time and to get that extra attack on a full attack, you already suffered an attack [you move faster so you likely got to the foe first]. SS, M can be dropped out of nowhere once the party homes in on a target, unfairly dog piling the foe with two rounds worth of good attacks before they can even act once.

One day I really want to be in a party with a Druid with Snake's Swiftness, and a Marshall with Grant Move Action.

On the Marshall's turn, everybody moves up to the enemy. On the Druid's turn, everybody attacks. :D

(And yes, I know the Marshall's GMA doesn't work on himself. He just uses his regular move action to move as well.)
