Sneak Attack Charger

I am designing a build for next time I make a character, I want to use as few books as possible in case they are unavailable but Complete (except Champion/Scoundrel) and Core will be fine without asking the DM

Now, I was looking at charging and realised all the builds were built around two handed weapons (for good reason) but they all had Pounce, I want to make a Two weapon fighting charger (I know it won't be ultra optimised because both require lots of feats)

I have at the moment 1 Barbarian/X Rogue. Any other ideas from classes to feats to weapons?

EDIT: if what you recommend is in a book other than those I have mentioned (even Complete Champion/Scoundrel) that's fine because we may be able to use them but we might not so TRY to avoid them

Not having access to crescent knives will likely hurt (Dragon 275) since that doubles attacks and is one of the few ways to get SA damage to an actually good point.

Nice link and that is kinda what I am looking for, except that 1) I don't know where half of that stuff is from and 2) Dragon Magazine is definitely unavailable

where is "Lion Tribe Pounce" feat? (it would save having a level of Barbarian)

It is called the Spirit Lion Totem Alternate Class Feature, it is from Complete Champion, and it trades Fast Movement for Pounce.

And here comes the buzzer sound. BZZZT! This form of pounce is done through a feat, although sadly it's rather limited.

Thanks [MENTION=6678119]Jackinthegreen[/MENTION] I knew of the ACF but not the feat (or anything from the book it comes from)

so the best way is to take a level of Barbarian if I want the real Pounce...

anything else or just stick with Barbarian 1/Rogue 19? (maybe Tempest or Dervish, I haven't looked at either recently)

Ok, so I know this build is mechanically sound, however something sounds conceptiually wrong with the combination of the words "Charging" (Raaar!) and "Sneak Attack" (you didn't see that coming!)

...But who considers realism when working mechanics? Not this guy.

The Rogue simply targets vital organs/muscles while the enemy is looking away, why can't I "Raaar!" in and hit the enemy's vital organs with an accurate strike, if I am 30" away the enemy won't suspect that I am about to attack them

Just 30 feet away? It's possible to do a charge from over 300 feet away. Admittedly it takes away some SA dice, but going with werecheetah or anthropomorphic cheetah will get you its sprint ability for up to 10x movement speed on a charge instead of 2x. It also gives a free trip attempt when hitting with claws or bite, which turns into another attack with Improved Trip.

Some tips to buff SA though:

1: Take Martial Study for a Shadow Hand maneuver. Then take Martial Stance for Assassin's Stance, which grants 2d6 SA whenever you're in the stance. This requires Tome of Battle, and if that's banned then your DM is unfortunately one of those people who doesn't understand what a world of awesomeness it is.

2: As in the build I linked earlier, the feat Daring Outlaw can be used to great effect. Swift Ambusher could also be used, which would grant some extra d6's in the form of Skirmish. Since you have to move more than 10 feet on a charge, Skirmish always applies. Both feats are found in Complete Scoundrel though. Why anyone would ban that is beyond me.

yea, the point of a Sneak Attacking Charger is to be able to Sneak Attack while Charging so being able to charge from 300 feet is useful (I don't need to start within the 30" range just attack from it, if my understanding of the rules is right) but Were- races have LA

1) Tome of Battle is banned simply for the same reason Expanded Psionics Handbook is, it is just tacked on and ill thought out

2) Complete Scoundrel isn't banned, just we don't always have a copy so some of our group object to it's use (we just need a hard copy that can be left with the DM) so it might be allowed, might not

Taking a single level of Scout/Barbarian and then being Rogue (I kinda want there to be a feat that combines Rogue/Barbarian for Rage/day and SA...)
