So how would you generate a classical samurai?

Basically a calssic samurai who is very quick, good and fast with his katana.

From the limited information I have 2H Fighter with quickdraw feat, Warlord training feat and ranger training feat (for twf).

Is this correct? Would this accurately portray samurai coolness? Or would a pure fighter in plate just trump him?

That wont work, you cant take one multiclass training feat only.

personally, I would have, Walord w/Ranger, Ranger w/Warlord, Fighter w/warlord, Warlord w/fighter or Paladin w/ ranger, fighter or warlord.

You can only MC in one class.

I would honestly do a Samurai by going TWF, Ranger, and asking the DM nicely if your second attack can just be made with your single weapon. Then either go Fighter for certain attacks.

A pure fighter is probably the best bet. There are some multiple strike powers for swords.

You also can't do warlord and ranger training. You can only do one multiclass feat line, and the ranger one doesn't give twf anyway. Not that you need twf to do proper classic samurai anyway. Just mushashi heretic types.
And neither warlord nor ranger feel particularly 'samurai-y'.

Why take TWF? Samurai wore two weapons but the vast majority of them for the vast majority of their existence only used the Katana for fighting...

Fighter Great Weapon build maybe multiclass to warlord for a battlefield leader type (which most samurai were not) or ranger to pick up ranged attack options.

Armor would be basically scalemail, weapon would be bastard sword (or falchion for a different twist). Strength, Dex, and Con would be highest abilities...

Paladin would work also if one concentrated on the weapon powers over the radiant powers...

Wow, quite limiting. you can only multi in one class, and thats by taking a feat.

Anyhow, I'm assuming ALL the nature flavor has been stripped from the ranger, otherwise it will get in the way. Also, if I go straight warlord with a multi into ranger OR fighter, how will I stack against another straight fighter?

Lastly, do you think there will be an official Samurai core class utilising the Ki power source down the road?

I think Fighter multi'd into Warlord is better than Ranger.

Quickdraw is your first feat. Forget TWF, since that's not how samurai worked (except for that one guy).

Honestly, the only thing nature related with Rangers is that you have a choice in being trained in Nature or Dungeoneering (and have a free choice of 4 other skills). So you don't want any nature, go Dungeoneering.

A warlord in a fight by himself is buggered. Most of your abilities effect your allies. Now some say "You OR an ally", but still, a warlord by himself is at a severe disadvantage.
