So I walked into the FLGS today...

Yeah, that FLGS.

The one that there are usually hordes of folks playing L5R CCG and Magic and Warhammer 40K.

I walked in there today and some young folks were playing ( GASP ) d20 modern.

Which pleased me. If nothing else, it gave me some anecdotal evidence that:
1) Young players are still taking up RPGs,
2) Those games are game with lots of chargen choices and robustness, and not those fru-fru rools lite games. and
3) D20 modern isn't as dead in the water as it might seem.

Is D20 Modern dead? I don't know anyone that plays it I'm sure there are a few out there.

THe hobby is passing on, it's not dying, even if it's not passing on the numbers that it used to.

I'm a player in a d20 Modern campaign that's been going strong for two and a half years. I had no idea d20 Modern was rumored to be "dead," although the supplements have been less than exciting for a while.

i had some friends register for their wedding at amazon iirc.

i bought them some Modern books. can't remember which ones. but they like them.

I think d20 Modern was very poorly designed.
