Every month this year, so far, Wizards has released some Accessory; Complete series, Races of Series, etc. But this month, nothing. Thanks Wizards! What am I supposed to do now? Go outside? Talk to my spouse? Play with my children? Darn you Wizards!!! Darn you to heck!

Heck no!

Whip up a game of D&D and enjoy those books!

Sheesh. Talk to your spouse. That's funny. Who keeps coming up with this stuff :p

No problem.

Sell your blood and use the money to buy my book.

I'm glad I could be here for you in your time of need.

PS There are also other companies with many fine products and services. Or there's this swanky little website called "ENWorld" that could probably stand to have a couple of bucks tossed their way.

PPS Incidentally, how do you like the race books?

You could pick up some books that came out months ago that you didn't have the budget to buy immediately.

While I generally like WotC's environment book series, I haven't actually bought either book yet because I can't see getting any immediate use out of them in my current campaign. My game is based in a city on an island in the sub-tropics.

I could always design a one-shot adventure in the snow or the desert, but that's a weak justification for spending $35 now when there's so much else out there I want to get. I don't know about you guys, but I don't have $100 in my RPG budget each month to keep up with everyone's publishing schedule. I barely have $100 in my entertainment budget, period.

I thought it was Heroes of Battle and the evil book of characters/organizations for the Forgogtten Realms?
Am I getting names mixed up? Heroes of Battle, I thought, was the book that focuses on war situations -- it's not setting specific.

Like Phil, I heartily recommend you see what the 3rd party publishers have available. Thanks to print on demand, almost all of E.N. Publishing's books are available in hard copy now. If you're into variant rules, we have tons, starting with the top-30 best-seller "Elements of Magic - Revised." If you prefer to hew closer to core D&D rules, pick up the E.N. Arsenal collection for an extra dose of combat options.

Or, if you really need to satisfy your gaming purchase desires, and you want something custom-written for you, swing by my website - Sum Non Wallabus - and contact me about custom gaming products.

I, however, would suggest you first talk to your wife and see if she has any suggestions.
