So what are the best d20 Mdern supplements out there?

The best D20 Modern products I've used are Columbia D20 (great campaign setting!) and Modern Player's Companion (character generation options). Modern Backdrops are also very good, although I just bought it for the maps.

I haven't bought massive amounts of D20 Modern stuff yet, however. (I have a budget.)

Well there is a lot of support out for the d20modern stuff, but you kind of have to dig for it. There *is* a large amount of pdf support, mostly at rpgnow.com.

My favorite company is rpgobjects, they do some really interesting supplements, like the blood & fists martial arts pdfs. Very cool. My other fav is darwin's world 2, which is a very cool post apocalyptic d20modern campaign setting. I think dw2 has more books out then all the other d20m books I have seen at my FLGS in print.

The Psychic's Handbook by Green Ronin. Just trust me.

I'd say Grim Tales, which is more an expansion and clarification of D20 modern than just a paly aid. I will say again, the chapter on CR and balancing party conflict is worth the price of admissions alone. AND the best low magic system out there.

Blood & Guts and Blood & Fists on rpgnow.com

I'll second jonrog's vote for The Psychic's Handbook.

And I'll second again the Grim Tales vote. Mostly the CR stuff. I like the low-magic stuff for Easy Out Of The Box work. Anything is better than d20 Modern core.

I will ALSO suggest an old Alternity supplement. Dark*Matter. While the rules are for a different system, 90% of the book is flavor, setting, and totally rules-free. What rules-based stuff that IS in there is covered by the d20 Modern Menace Manual (I.E., all of the Dark*Matter monsters are in the Menace Manual. Dark*Matter tells you great ways to use them.) You can download D*M for about 4 bucks as a PDF at SVGames. Unbeatable value.

Blood & Fists for me, too. You might want to go the route of getting it from RPGnow, and taking advantage of RPGobjects print upgrade offer, because the latest version has some nice clarifications to the skills and blocking maneuvers.

Modern Players Companion is nice to have, too. IMO, the class combinations are a waste of space, but it has some nice advanced class options and the starting equipment packages are indispensible for getting things moving.
