So, what did YOU get for Christmas?

DVDs of the first five seasons of Buffy: the Vampire Slayer and a DVD player so I can watch them.

Wellp, its only 1 am, so I don't know what I've got.

I do know I have a five cd changer stereo thing under the tree that I have to return so I can make rent.

I don't think I've got anything else.

Blah.

I'll barely make it this month also. :(

Hopefully, next month will be more... comfortable.

Well, I'm not on speaking terms with my entire paternal side of the family, and I'm in Japan, far far away from the side of the family that I do like, and friends as well, so I got nothing either.

Damn - that sucks. :( I wish you the best of luck, though!
(Myself, I'm in a somewhat similar situation; I currently live with my mom and stepfather and won't be able to afford a place of my own in the near future...)

I could live with my parents too... But I would have to commute by plane to go to university and it would take about... lemme see... 8 hours for the first flight... 1 hour for the next... then the bus, about 2 hours... oh, and the processing at the airport, let's say 2 hours between the two flights... So 2(8+1+2+2) = 26 hours per day.

The lucky thing is that I can actually sleep in the planes.

PA: I'm glad you started this by saying you didn't get anything... Otherwise I'd feel too bad to post in the thread, because it would seem inconsiderate to the people who don't have the privilege.

I got some nice stuff this year... Can't afford to buy things for other people, which I'm not going to let myself feel too bad about.

Anyway: Some music (Joy Division's Closer, and David Bowie's Earthling), the finally-released DVD of UHF, a book of Egon Schiele drawings (which are absolutely delicious), and The Philosophy of Andy Warhol: From A to B and Back Again (or is it the other way around?)

All of which I really like (especially Closer and the books... My sister got these for me, and while they were probably random Amazon.com selections, they're still a really dead-on package of goodness.)

Unfortunately, no one bought me alcohol. I was hoping to get rip-roaring drunk for Christmas -- all my roommates are gone, and it would be a shame to have the apartment to myself and just sit around feeling sorry for myself all day.
