So what is your favorite Dungeon adventure, ever?

This is a real tough one. Recently, I thought the Champions Belt, Chimes at Midnight, Palace of Plenty, and the Styes were brilliant adventures.

From older editions, I fondly remember Ghosts of Mistmore Manor (? might not have that correct). Good ghost story/not a ghost story/ghost story.

A lot of what I judge how good an adventure is, from any source, is by how much it becomes a "fixture" in my campaigns. So for me, from Dungeon mag, would be Apple Grove, which I believe is "A Stew for Llewellyn", the "Red/Skarlett Knight" adventure, and the one with the self willed Skeletel Warrior in it. The cover has him with a "Black Rose", which I think is part of the adventures mod. He, the Warrior, is what went on to be one of my campaign fixtures. I believe his name is Agrovale.
The adventure with the self-willed Skeletal Warrior is also my favorite. It was in issue #27, iirc, and is named, "A Rose for Talakara." I very much enjoyed this one. I'll need to drag that one out and find a way to implement it in my current campaign some how. Thanks for the reminder, Treebore.

Dungeon[/i] ever...

I'm awfully fond of that Dungeon of the Fire Opal. It was remarkably invovled and playable for a classic "Dungeon Crawl" and, unlike a lot of published stuff I've seen, seemed to take PC Spellcasting into account in regards to solving problems.

I've run it a few times now and it delivers.

"The Lich Queen's Beloved" from #100 is a favorite of mine.

"Quicksilver Hourglass" from #123 is also a favorite.

"The Champion's Belt" from #128 is one I'm looking forward to now.

I can't remember the name, but one I really liked involved a library in the Forgotten Realms with rooms that shifted around and the place was filled with abishai; this was back in 2nd edition days. I also enjoy "Deadly Treasure" from issue #41, which I ran recently for Hackmaster and again using 1e rules.

While I enjoyed Mad God's Key a lot - and Mud Sorceror's Tomb - both the original and the remake are very good...

My favorite is Erik Mona's Whispering Cairn in Dungeon #124, the first module in the Age of Worms Adventure Path. Whispering Cairn is huge, it has the whole backdrop of Diamond Lake, the Age of Worms Overload and the poster map to bolster it even further - and it's just a great D&D adventure.

Your more than welcome. I like that adventure so much a friend on the Necromancer messageboards sent me a copy of the adventure when I was lamenting losing it and other favorite Dungeon adventures in my house fire a couple of years ago. Yep, great Dungeon adventure that even helped me find out how cool other people in this hobby really are.
