So what would you like from a D20 Future expansion?

One thing for anyone getting ready to put out stuff for d20 Future, when the book shows up in my FLGS, then and only then will I actually consider buying it. I never buy PDFs.

As far as what books I would be interested in buying, I would say that a good weapons and gear book would be a great start. Please include info on how things change over various PL advances. One of my grips with Traveller is that things are often describes at the tech level of introduction and just left there. A bit like saying that ultralight weight rip stop nylon and plastic pole tents and heavy canvas and wooden pole tents are the same for weather resistance, weight and size. This point does not need a lot of attention, just have the price & weight line include entries for each PL the item is available.

Specialized AdC's and PrC's can be good, along with new talent trees for the base classes. Posibly this would work best as an expansion of the various campaign settings.

Well, it'll be awhile till you see anything from me.

The cost of printing a 3-10 page booklet, consumer markup, and everything else, would turn a $1.50 PDF into a $11 nightmare.

Aside from that, we'll be putting out the following when the data hits the SRD...

Power Armor creation rules
Frogstar Series Power Armor
Goblin Series Power Armor
Aegis Series Power Armor
Novastar Series Power Armor
Blackhawk Series Dropship
Hornet Series Dropship
"The Artificial Systems"-10 page writeup on the "robot worlds"
"The Treana'ad Worlds"-A new race and writeup on thier society
"Terran Confederacy"-Terran Humans, Genejacks and Splicers
"Terran Marine Corps" with AdC's and PrC's, as well as weaponry and combat armor and tactics. (This will be doubtful that it's a mini and might see hardback)
Modules, adventures and fun stuff like that...

All on PDF

Tell you what, remind me after I release them, and I'll GIVE you a copy of one of them to see if I can change your mind.

Here's the one I'll give you for you to take a look at...

Hornet Class Dropship Series (5 pages)
Complete with: Critics/Users comments on each PL version
PL versions for each upgrade, up to the time it was phased out.
Weaponry, armor, drive systems that are used that are not listed in the d20 Future book. If space permits, we might even add the "Hornet Pilot" NPC writeup.

Well, take care. The wife is yelling at me that I've overrun my computer time.

And Roudi...

Good job on Modernized

Will they all be free? I hope so cuz I'm wanting more d20Modern goodies but I lack that allmighty credit card to pay for anything online.

MODERNIZED will most certainly be free for as long as it's published. At least, as long as I'm in charge of this puppy :)

Too bad. You'll miss a lot of good stuff.

Enh. Your loss, really.
There are some GREAT PDFs available.
But... everyone has their own criteria of quality or worth. To each their own.

i don't buy pdf's either. but i don't have a printer, don't really have any way of transferring a file to say, a Kinko's, and can't bring my computer to gaming sessions. so the utility of a pdf product, for me, is very nearly zero. :\

Oddly enough, or perhaps not so odd, Sleep Dep Creations is working on a tool kit that will allow DMs and Players alike to create their own power armor from the ground up.

We will be using different mechanics than either the Gadget System (which is wonderful, but doesn't have the feel we're going for) or the Mecha rules (which is good for Huge (and plus-sized) Mecha, but not Power Armor).

It should run no less than 60 pages, cost no more than $5, and may include power armor-specific talents, feats, Advanced/Prestige Classes, etc. If the talents, feats, etc gets cut due to space, a free web enhancement (along with some conversion rules) will be made available.

Thanks for the time,

Peterson

What company would that be? And may I ask if you are doing a weapons type book?

However, E.N.Publishing will be releasing our first PL6 weapons book in early September (in PDF format)
