WotC So, when do the announce the July book? Guesses on what it'll be? 🤔

Was wondering if they were going to release something based around the Feywild, setting wise if they are focusing on dragons that would suggest either Dragonlance or that other Dragon campaign setting.

I wish I could pick a specific one, but so far I've been well off target with their choices so far so...
It will be a generic monster style book with expanded race options, not Dragonlance. Nothing in the play test material besides a spell suggests anything remotely similar to Dragonlance. Most likely it will have Draconians in it though as they are a popular monster and it could be a feeler thing for a proper DL sourcebook.

I'm betting it's dragons & feywild myself but the feywild race UA could have just been a fun spring/easter type thing and like other UA lead to a much later book like Psionics did though race based UA tend to indicate a quick turnaround. If we were to have gotten DL this year it would have coincided with the new novel. Considering the legal issues around that one WOTC and Hasbro may think it's a little toxic to support and will gauge the market when it's released and then have a sourcebook prepared for when the second one is released. I think we will see Greyhawk before Dragonlance because Saltmarsh was such a success.

Did they say they were releasing the 3 settings this year alone or just that they were working on 3 classic settings? Two more settings would nudge the schedule really hard I think for what they have been doing with their model for product.

I am expecting a second Critical Role book, presumably about the other continent, someday. Why would the one from Green Ronin have gone out of print unless either WOTC or Mercers own company are planning on doing one themselves?

Because the licensing contract was up, that's the reason. I don't think we will see it reprinted by WOTC but maybe when the show comes out we will get a newer version that is more complete and updates the timeline with the changes from the end of the campaign and hinted at in the current one?

that is likely but whether it will be this year is unknown, have they made a new campaign yet?

There's not any enticing details here, but they do provide general outlines of what's coming this year:

Snippet about stuff not announced (written by Ray Winninger):

"Later in the year, Chris will return with our big summer adventure, James Wyatt will deliver a substantially improved version of a concept that I initiated myself, and Amanda Hamon will close us out with a project that was jointly conceived by herself and several other studio members. As usual, Jeremy Crawford is working with all of our leads, overseeing mechanical content and rules development.

In addition to these five major products, look for a couple of additional surprises we’ll unveil in the months ahead."

Woah—five more products plus two additional surprises? That's quite a lot for one year. Definitely an increased output, as promised. EDIT: I think I misread; it's five products total (including Candlekeep and Ravenloft), not five more. Still an increase, but not as huge of one as I initially thought.

I think this statement by Winninger makes it very likely that the July release will be another Forgotten Realms adventure book by Perkins, to tie in with the MTG set.

This would be my guess for the projects he's talking about:
-Perkins: FR adventure
-Winninger/Wyatt: Dragonlance setting book
-Hamon: the long-rumored adventure anthology by women writers
