So, where do you game?

When I am running the Wednesday night game we play over at a friend's house. When he and his wife were looking for a new house they specifically sought one with a decent gaming room. That's all the room is used for, and it is currently home to my big glass miniatures cabinet and dresser drawers full of Mastermaze and Hirst Arts.

The game I play in on every other Friday night is in another one of my player's house who has a dedicated game room. His is not quite as big as the one I run my game in, but is very nice nonetheless.

Sadly, I have two other friends with dedicated game rooms that get literally no use whatsoever. Both of their gaming rooms are unbelievably nice too.

At my old house I finished my unattached garage and turned it into a gaming room with heat and AC. My current home does not have a game room, but thanks to my good friends I do not need one.

Well, we usually play at our apartment. We have a 3 bedroom apartment and the largest bedroom has a second bathroom in it, as well as all of the gaming bookshelfs and mini's. We have a table that I got my husband (our DM) for his birthday a few years ago that is about 3ft wide, by 71/2 ft long...So there is plenty of room. We have two kids and if we play later in the evening the kids are asleep. Or we just get a babysitter. There is only one of the group that lives in a different town. He drives about 2 hrs.

traditonally my house, I bring the spare dining room table up out of storage, set it up and off we go. I have kids running around but my kids are a little older and either watch or go play. My wife is really cool and most of the time she cooks a big pot of spaghetti or enchiladas or something for all of us. Everyone chips in a couple of bucks so we aren't out a bunch of cash on meat and stuff and we grill sometimes.

I don't know what its going to be like when we move next month. Hopefully there will be room in the new house or barring that I can find a permanent established group so its not a concern.

One of the players in our group is perfectly located between the two extremes. He's a suburbanitte, I and a few of the others are deep in the city where there's street lights and sidewalks that get used all the time, and the others are in wilderness (okay not really, but I suppose it qualifies as country)a county over. Our extremes are each about twenty minutes from where we play, and where there's a dedicated game room with net access!

Various places. I play in Steve Creech's game, which is held at a game store. In the game I DM, we play either at my house, or at the ceramics studio of one of my players. That's really nice, because there's plenty of room, but I hate lugging all my crap to someone else's house.

We've got a game room up on the 3rd floor. It's a little crowded for more than eight people, but otherwise works perfectly. When other people are DMing, we generally play at their house.

Here's a shot of Gospog DMing a one shot at my house. That's Dr. Midnight on the left, and Fluffaderm and Aravis on the right.

I play one game at my GM's house, but it's a 5 minute stroll down the road.

Unfortunately, the game I GM is about 30 miles away, but that's because all the players live in a city miles away from me. Hate lugging my stuff over there, but at least it taught me to travel light!

Main reason for the travel was my house used to be full of my 'not game much' flatmates who wouldn't want me taking over the lounge every saturday.

One of the games I play in is played at my flat, with everyone else living about a half-hour drive in various directions.

The other is played in a pub in Stratford-upon-Avon which is about half and hour's drive from where I live in Coventry, but is local-ish for everyone else.

glass.

One of my games we play in the union of the local college where several of us go to school. Nice big area, food and facilities are nearby. That works out really well.

The other game we play in the local gaming store, where I work. It sometimes gets a bit loud with the other people in the gaming area, but other than that it works out fine. That's even got easy storage and access to the store's books if we need it.
