So, where do you game?

My group, recently recreated, is planning to play at the home of whomever is DMing... So that's me when I run my homebrew D&D and the home of another player when he starts his d20 mecha game.

Both places have good size dining rooms with tables large enough to support 6 people.

My house. I'm the only single homeowner and have the most space. My dining room's a little cramped since I added in the china cabinet/liquour cabinet combo but it still has plenty of space, no dogs, copious parking, has a covered porch for the smokers and is equally in/convenient to everyone.

We often spill over to the sofas & recliner in the living room during social-only sessions to be a bit more comfortable.

Various places. I play in Steve Creech's game, which is held at a game store. In the game I DM, we play either at my house, or at the ceramics studio of one of my players. That's really nice, because there's plenty of room, but I hate lugging all my crap to someone else's house.

Amen to that last thought. I am the DM in my group, but the only one that doesn't own his own house... I live in the Bay area; all my players live outside the urban area, so they have nice spacious places. Therefore, we usually play at one of thier houses.

I, of course, am the only one that owns more than a PHB and a set of dice.

*sigh* Too Many Books. And my library is small... I can't imagine lugging it around if it gets much bigger...

I rarely play but when I do it's round my friends house about 15 mins away, closer to the other player and he doesn't share his bedroom.

My group at home plays at my DMs house

My group at school usually uses my DMs dorm room, but we have also played:
-At Denny's
-In the hallway
-In the stairwell
-Various other dorm rooms
-In a car
-Four different lounges
-Via email
-While orbiting the Earth in a space shuttle (okay, this is a lie)
-In our sleep
-And plenty of other locations...

We play at the DM's office. The office is nice (conference table, in a pizza joint's delivery zone, no phones going off, and no non-gamers around to distract us), and sort of centrally located. We have played twice at the DM's home, when he was on "kid duty"--but that doesn't happen very often.

For my kids' games, I DM at home--around the dining room table.

You can't beat a basement for gaming--the rest of the household can sleep and watch TV and we don't bother them (much). We have a big table, bookshelves, even a big whiteboard.

Now if I can just figure out how to hang pictures on the bare concrete walls... Any suggestions?

We used to game at my old house before I moved from Texas to California. Had a dedicated game room with all my stuff and enough room for 12 people, easily. Maximum I had play at one time was 8 (+ me, so 9) and still had plenty of room. Now that I'm states away, we do our gaming online.

Hope to get a new house someday in the next couple of years with a game room and, maybe, a new group of players.

My new group plays in my efficiency apartment. Sadly, it's the largest space available.

I used to play at the local Wizards store, but the uncertainty of knowing who was showing up that Sunday killed the game.
